Android 11 was working just fine for me and 12 just screwed up my phone. How would you revert back to a previous version, is that even possible without rooting ?

atokhang, 25 Jul 2022I’m considering buying this phone as my 2nd and gaming phon... moreI have had random freeze ups with Android 11 when I would try to unlock my phone through finger print sensor. It would just not respond for a few seconds. I was ok with it as it used to happen once or twice a day. But I recently updated it to Android 12 and since then it does that thing like almost every time, it literally got to a point where it didn't respond at all for several minutes and it this time i had to restart it. Also with Android 12 the system is really sluggish almost seems like the 6GB RAM is just not enough for it. I have only owned the phone for like 4 months and I was just content with it for the features i got for $180 but Android 12 update had made me question my choices and am already looking for a new phone. So think about that before you buy this.

Hafsal, 15 Aug 2022Am planning to buy this device LM V450PM(Sprint) unlocked
... moreSprint doesnt get android 12 update as far as i know, they stopped receiving all type of service/updates from sprint/tmobile (for the sprint model) since january this year.
Get a korean v50 from ali express instead, ask the seller to declare it at 50 bucks to avoid custom tax.
As for performance, am using a korean v50 and i got no issues, battery last just as long, no scrolling issues that i have read elsewere. I dont play games so i dont know how it performs when under heavy use. Video calls no issues. Reading no issues. Avoid having too much white in the background tho, screen panel is OLED and white will make the screen warm if its too bright.
Also the telegram community for lg has plenty of fonts and themes now that LG world is basically dead, you still get access to some free themes and background, AOD tho.

I have used my V50 as my primary phone since 2019. I've never had any reset, freeze, or other problem on any of the systems (it was android 9 in the beginning, now it's 12). A perfect smartphone for me (Hi-Fi Quad + MQA, + audio jack), but I'm slowly looking around for a new audio phone and am slightly disappointed. Progress has slowed, and this one is still great.

I got myself this phone last week (30/July/2022) for the equivalent of $250. That detachable Dual Screen case is so much more flexible than foldable screen smartphones as I can detach it if I don't need to use it. But even with the case attached all day, I don't find it as heavy as people would believe. That said, the second screen proves to be so useful when viewing different documents and websites at the same time. Also, with the "ViewMode for LG" app on Play Store, I can emulate Nintendo DS gaming. It took me a while to get the settings right, but it's totally worth it.

Boots, 30 Jul 2022After using My V50 for some few weeks my service got disabl... moreLike you bought a phone, then got disabled or it worked fine for months and now it got disabled?
If you just bought it, depending were you live you need to register your phone in your own country bands ( each country has their own website to register phones) they give you a month to register it then you lose access to all bands( resulting in getting no service), its usually cheap to register a phone brought from outside, like 5 dollars.
As for the other option, you would need to provide some more info, like you just updated to A12 o you change setting, etc.

atokhang, 25 Jul 2022I’m considering buying this phone as my 2nd and gaming phon... moreHonestly Mine v500n is getting predictedable reboot issue. That happens when downloading as large as 5GB file through the browser, with like 5MB/s speed, the phone seems can't handle that heavy data flow, then it will reboot in a sudden.
This is super rare and basically in normal usage, random reboot that is not due to the above reason occurs in a frequency of 3 times in a year. I think this is a normal frequency.
I don't have black screen or any problems at all.

atokhang, 25 Jul 2022I’m considering buying this phone as my 2nd and gaming phon... moreNo, I never experienced or even heard of any of these.
Be sure that you get a genuine piece.
If it is going to be a refurbished one that you are planning to get from Ali Express, then these issues might come into any brand that you plan to get.

I’m considering buying this phone as my 2nd and gaming phone. But, I’ve heard there are few issues like black screen, auto restart when charging, randomly shuts down. Are theses issues common for most LG’s users?

Android 12 update brings a few minor changes.
1. A green icon shows up on the top right (next to the battery percentage icon) when the microphone is being used by applications.
2. Sound from the headphone jack sounds different now. Sounds became more flat (but louder) from what I remembered, but turning on the HiFi option brings a more noticeable, but subtle effect to the sound (relative to previous version).
3. Higher standby battery drain, from about 5% to 6-7% per day (could be battery degradation as well).
4. Gallery app stutters A LOT when scrolling (I use moderate battery saver mode).
I'm a bit conflicted on whether to revert to earlier versions or not. The battery drain and headphone audio are the main concerns I have. For the headphone jack, it's based on personal preference, though the change did improve the external speakers.

Ai, 03 Jul 2022They still need to provide the update. Thing is, is that they are not obligated because the only way you could get a v50 sprint was signing up with their 2 year plan, which also enabled you to get a replacement phone free of charge in case of. And with US forgoing 5g T mobile offered people a replacement for their v50.
You can read this article so you can stop expecting an update that will never arrive.
