Already lost 5 pieces. 🤣 Glad I bought more but I expect them to fall off again given how flimsy the latches are. Didn't know IMAK has no side covers for the buttons so now I have to order a different one.

Mine is becoming increasingly slower and buggier, might be time for retirement soon 🤣

So I had my LG VELVET around 5 yrs and V60 almost for 2yrs, they really lasted me this long, but the only thing hasn't last long is the LG cable charger or adapter, I just bought a Samsung Galaxy cable and it's compatible, and my phone is fast charging again.

Ontario, 25 Feb 2024I'm using the Korean version and I'm enjoying it.... moreLG had previously said, for Velvet the chipset may vary depending on the market and carrier. So far I have seen 4 types of chipsets used with this phone. They are:

        1) Qualcomm Snapdragon 765
        2) Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G
        3) Qualcomm Snapdragon 845
        4) MediaTek Dimensity 1000C

The SD845 is reserved for the LTE (4G) version. Rest three are all 5G enabled.

        Note:
        1) RAM used are of 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X type.
        2) Only one storage option available, 128 GB of UFS 2.1.
        3) The Korean version (LM-G900N) only gets 8GB RAM paired with SD765.
        4) Rest of the world have to do with 6GB RAM paired with SD765G, SD845 or D1000C.
        5) The T-Mobile specific model LM-G900TM comes with D1000C and is the most powerful Velvet.
        6) The battery capacity also varies, either 4000mAh or 4300mAh. Mostly the Korean, Asian and European versions comes with the larger battery. The US specific versions gets the smaller 4000mAh battery, barring their AT&T carrier.

Carlos2019, 09 Jan 2024I know LG Mobile is out of business, but sometimes I use ex... moreOne major difference I noticed between my pair of LG Velvet's, the Korean LM-G900N model comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 coupled with 8 gigs or RAM. But all the US specific models like my LM-G900VM comes with slightly better Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G coupled with just 6 gigs or RAM.

LG has previously said, that the chipset may vary depending on the market and carrier. US carriers will have the Snapdragon 765G with less RAM. The 765G processes graphics 10% better compared to the 765 so this will be a notch-up in terms of gaming compared to its South Korean counterpart. But to me RAM is more important as this will be the performance bottleneck 3 years down the line. And the korean models comes with 2 GB more RAM.

Carlos2019, 09 Jan 2024I know LG Mobile is out of business, but sometimes I use ex... morePersonally I like Velvet a lot, it was the epitome of exterior aesthetic design from LG. Period. The most beautiful LG phone, and just like the name suggests feels like Velvet in the hand.

The first one is made for US carrier Verizon, (LM-G900VM) in Red color. Comes with SD765G and 6GB RAM. Built-in memory is 128GB (UFS 2.1), Single SIM support, hybrid SIM slot with MicroSD card support (up to 1TB). The battery capacity is smaller at 4,000mAh.

The other one is a Korean unit (LM-G900N), built by LG for SK Telecom of South Korea. Illusion Sunset color. This has more RAM at 8GB along with 128GB (UFS 2.1) built-in memory, Dual SIM support, hybrid SIM slot with MicroSD card support (up to 2TB). The battery capacity is also higher at 4,300mAh.

Both are running on Android 13 with 1st July, 2023 android security patch. Out of the two the Korean LM-G900N in better as it is butter smooth to operate with 8GB RAM and have more battery backup. With the Verizon LM-G900VM unit I have sometimes observed slight laginess in UI.

What set LG Velvet apart from other Snapdragon SD7XX phones are the built quality, awesome exterior design, great stereo speakers and one of the best audio quality through headphone jack. And the tall curved FullHD 172.7mm OLED display is a sight to behold.

Sandeep , 21 Jan 2024How the DAC sound on this one ???LG Velvet has the best audio implementation of any Qualcomm Snapdragon SD7XX based phones. The audio quality through headphone jack is very good. Additional QuadDACs found on LG V series phones have even higher audio performance.

Only one small corner nicked after many drops on rocky/gravel surfaces. Now many future choices need to be GG6 or newer. Didn't also expect the size to be similar to most flagships. I thought the biggest ones were the Samsung Ultras but no even the S24 has similar diagonal screen lol.

I know LG Mobile is out of business, but sometimes I use extra backup phones for listen to music and video files or YouTube just the basic, I would recommend this phone again, I had this phone for 5yrs now haven't had one single problem, but I am gonna switch back to Samsung again.

I've had this phone for three years now. It really is an amazing phone and the camera is actually staggering when you set it right. The sound is very good. Leaves iPhone in the dust. It's also really rugged, despite its sleek design. I've taken this think through a LOT. It just does not break. The biggest shortfall is the UI. It LAAAAAGS. (Note: it's just the drag down menu and lower buttons that lag. Apps and games don't lag at all). LG has major issues with their UI that they never did fix, and I think this is the biggest reason that they failed in the smartphone market. If they had the skill to make a smooth functioning UI, they would have probably had a lot of the market.
