M4 Mac mini rumored to launch this year
Bloomberg’s latest report suggests we’ll see an all-new Mac mini with Apple’s M4 chip launch later this year around October. This will also mark the first major redesign of the mini which is said to come in a smaller footprint akin to the Apple TV 4K.
For reference, Apple TV 4K measures 3.1 x 9.3 cm while the current M2 Mac mini is 3.6 x 19.7 cm. The new mini will retain the aluminum shell of its predecessor and is expected to launch in two variants – one equipped with the Apple M4 chip and another with the M4 Pro.
In terms of I/O, the upcoming Mac mini is expected to offer 3x USB-C ports, 1x HDMI port, and a power input. Bloomberg also states that Apple will update its iMac and MacBook Pro lineups with the M4 chips this year while the Mac Pro, Mac Studio, and MacBook Air are scheduled to get the new chips in 2025.

But this can get you away from being tracked to death imo so it has redeeming value there.

Definitely lose the A ports and keep the TB ports or increase them but that means for sure needing a tb doc to have ports, geez I don't need a thimble sized pc more than expansion ports. The existing box stayed cool and was plenty small enough....
