Just got the phone, battery fully charged, turn it on, it gets to maxwest screen and shuts off.
Never been able to completely power it up
Please help

I too noticed max west astro tends to overheat causing
A. The phone shuts down completely, or you get messages popping up constantly
B. The phone to not charge at all
The battery does run down too quickly and even if you turn the volume down to 5 it's still loud

I have the MaxWest X5 and although I have to type slowly, this phone more than makes up for that with a couple of features that are very useful. I wouldnt trade it.

this phone is so stupid i would not encourage anyone to buy this phone first of all it overheats too much when using or not secondly the battery drains too often third whenever its turn off it cant turn back on fourth it wont even charge so can some one with this type of phone help me out its turn off and i cant turn it back on

It sucks plenty. Battery and the whole phone overheats. This is my first smart phone. I hate it. Bought it two months ago and now its all fkd up. I hope it doesnt blow up near my ear.

This is the worst phone ive ever had in my life.. its slow, difficult to use and the data does not work... I would rather a flip phone then this peiceof garbage

Battery is fine the secondary could be better than it is the rear facing is average at it's time. 4.7 Stars

J.R, 29 Dec 2015The phone shuts off when I take pictures, it over heats, do... moreIf your screen is blacked out and you can still hear notifications,well take the battery out and hold the power key for at least 4 min to drain the power it has left inside without the battery and insert the battery after the 4min and your good to go
If it doesn't work something is really wrong.

Its the worst phone I have ever had it overheats voluntarily downloads apps and viruses .. I would not encourage no one to buy this phone

i bought an Astro 5 but the problem is my battery wont last more than three hours even its fully charged,
the front camera is not working

The phone has been shutting off and not holding a charge. Has anyone tried replacing the battery and works well now? Where's a good place to buy a new battery?

The phone shuts off when I take pictures, it over heats, does not keep a charge even when not in use. And as of Christmas 2015 the screen went out and never came back on it is completely black i can still hear all notifications but the screen remains black. I am deeply disappointed in both the device and myself(myself for not getting a Samsung device as i usually do) I only hope that others have a better experience, well if you are reading this it means it got you too lbvs

GOOD day i bought a astro 5 maxwest in May from a dealer and the first time i made a call with it i found out it was over heating {2}i use the flash light the phone shut off i had to take the battery out and put it back before the phone could turn on {3} i took a few pictures and it shut off a few times too, i had to do the same thing again,on another occasion i took a picture this time it stay off for good , Dealers technician say I C that control the power to the board not good,, all this happen in just two months after i bought the phone,,, i lose because the dealer wont stand the cost to repair

Its a decent phone I do like it. There are 2 problems that I have, the phone is overheating and the battery has not been holding a charge. What can I do about it? Will my carrier I bought it from replaced the phone?

Buy your Maxwest phone from an authorized dealer and Maxwest will stand behind their warranty. I bought a 4600 a long time ago from Yippz and bought the Astro 5 last week from them as a personal upgrade. The quadcore cpu compared to a single or dual core is amazing.

as for the Astro 5 i loved the phone? it worked great for everything i wanted except for the case and screen? It's so cheaply built. I had it in a case to protect it. still the screen got a very small crack and the phone is now junk. I had many other smart phones that i have dropped sat on and never had a problem like this? i don't know what to do ? any help please email me @ mkslarrison@gmail. thank for any help you can give me
