Meizu is going out with a hard one. First Meizu device I liked, too. Just pure perfection.

this looks like a sleek and nice phone design wise imo, even the rest of the specs look nice enough except the lower mp on every other camera.
though we'll have to see if they are good or nah i guess.

Cpt.Power, 25 Jan 2024Bro having Motorola edge 40 pro which also havent much upda... moreI think you missed the point! Updates are vital for security and you not caring about updates doesn't change the fact that there are a vulnerabilitities looming around. I know you can use your phone without updates, however your device will support fever apps as time progresses.
And who says data is very expensive. Asian countries have some of cheapest data rates around the world. Here is a link: https://www.cable.co.uk/mobiles/worldwide-data-pricing/
I respect Meizu for their legacy, however, you cannot shrug off historical data and pure facts.
At the end of the day these are my thoughts ans yours might vary.

50MP 12MP and 13MP? maybe would be good if it was actually nice quality cameras, and they give good software support with updates and the one doesn't chug... otherwise it's better to go for other brands like oneplus, oppo or xiaomi or yes even samsung at that point!

justasmile, 25 Jan 2024Don't settle for these brands that offer average updat... moreBro having Motorola edge 40 pro which also havent much updates and honestly dont care.
Its not that relevant. At least i am not bothered by updating something every single day like case of Samsung. In EU people shouldnt have data problems but outside of EU many people dont have such cheap and unlimited data or having slow wifi so in other words its not that great.
Lastly for aplications you get your updates as long as your phone keeps running. With its specs it could work even 10 years.
Many phones from many brands are long time past last update and still keep working without issues. For example Samsung S9 and older models. Many xiaomi devices etc.
Know several people with something as old as Iphone 5 or SE first generation, or Xiaomi Note 4, Lenovo P1, Lenovo Z3 pro, Motorola Z2 pro etc those phones still works without issues. Having tons of OS updates would be viable if company gives equal years in warranty. Chinese or Asian people or anyone outside EU have only 1 year of warranty unlike EU citizens which have 2. But no phone company gives more than 2 years of warranty in other words said updates whether you have them often or not does not matter much.
Lastly not every person uses his phone as a credit card. Today there is so many people who trying to make a fortune by robbing you online. Its much safer to swipe your card than use phone.
