Meizu leaks its own 16Xs smartphone ahead of launch

Ro, 29 May 2019

The Meizu 16Xs is supposed to launch tomorrow, but someone didn't get the memo and the company's website uploaded pretty much everything about the handset. We got all the specs and renders a day in advance.

The Meizu 16Xs is carrying a 6.2-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2232px) AMOLED screen without a notch. There's also a fingerprint reader sitting beneath. A Snapdragon 675 is behind the wheel paired with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

The triple-camera setup on the back consists of a 48MP (f/1.7) main unit, a 5MP depth-sensor and an 8MP f/2.2 snapper, which is probably an ultra-wide but we can't confirm for now. The front camera has 16MP sensor and f/2.2 lens and supports facial recognition.

The handset is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery and runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Meizu's own Flyme skin on top.

The Meizu 16Xs will arrive in four different colors - Knight Black, Coral Orange, Ice Silk White and Atlantis Blue. Pricing and availability are yet to be revealed.

You will never see this outside of China, just like Sharp and Japan.
