you have to double the money to get noticably better results.
Camera (back) 8/10 (great dynamic range, resolution, sharpness, noise handling and very fast focusing, but lacking OIS and at f/2.2 not the brightest results. Mount it on a tripod and you can get the best long exposures you could imagine)
Camera (front) 6/10 (nothing special about it, nothing bad about it either average in every aspect)

Great Value for Money!
Build quality 9/10 (gorilla glass 4 maybe!? a big plus that it doesn't feel like a 5.5" brick)
Screen 8/10 (could have been brighter and QHD and i dont care about the latter)
Sound 8/10 (very loud, not the best, but very good quality. Stereo speakers would have been nice)
Camera (back) 8/10 (great dynamic range, resolution, sharpness, noise handling and very fast focusing, but lacking OIS and at f/2.2 not the brightest results. Mount it on a tripod and you can get the best long exposures you could imagine)
Camera (front) 6/10 (nothing special about it, nothing bad about it either average in every aspect)
Preformance 8/10 (Ram is enough for everything, CPU too. Graphics performance is the only thing that lowers the score which still poses no problems or lag. In real life use the phone is on the fast lane with just slight delay in some demanding apps compared to the best 4-5 phones out there)
OS 9/10 (Flyme os is excellent and very ergonomic but different from other android skins, so it may take time to get used to)
Battery 9/10 (makes it through the day with very heavy use, two days with average use and charges fully in a hour or so from around 25% that i usually start charging it)

the camera is really impressive actually.
It has extremely good dynamic range it handles noise very efficiently and the manual mode is good (could hve been better but still).
The fingerprint scanner is the fastest i've seen and by adding multiple fingerprints you can unlock with every finger you can scan while having (slightly) wet fingers and solve this problem. I don't know how accurate the results may be then or if some security will be compromised.

Looking for a phone under 300 USD, Ga... moreThe phone itself is really nice, good quality. Works very smooth and fast, the FHD amoled screen is beautiful and gaming performance is also excellent. Fingerprint recognition Works 90%of the time for the first try the rest for the second usually (if your hands are not wet) . Only problem is the camera, which is very bad quality. I had a Samsung note 2 with 8mp camera before this and i think that made better pictures. For me its not so important but for others might be.
The battery is decent, last a little longer than my note, the mCharge is awesome, finally a phone charges very fast even if I'm using it heavily. I think it worth the money.

If you are still looking to buy this Meizu MX5, you should also take a look at the LeTV Le One Pro! It is around 300GBP at reputable online stores and has better hardware than the MX5 Pro. It also has a thin bezel and full metal body - that doesn't looks like a iPhone 6 clone.
