I have that device for a while and I got to say— I'm pleasantly surprised.
It has a premium build nd build materials, it's performance is very snappy— it dose not need to keep up to me even in heaviest of tasks, and I don't have to keep up to it.
The camera produces fantastic shots and it is also descent in low light.
Battery life also wasn't a problem as I get in the month I use this phone a full day of heavy use with at least 4 hours of screen on time.
I personaly like the software experience in it. It is really similar to iOS and it performes very snappy overall.
I an sure that if you want a nice overall experience for an affordable price, this is the best way to go.
The professional reviewers were really rough with that for no good reason.
I recommend you to take that device.
You won't be disappointed.

battery endurance,
mx4- 89 hrs at 3100 mAh battery
mx4 pro- 67 hrs at 3350 mAh battery
mx5- 55 hrs at 3150 mAh battery
everybody else works on increasing the battery life....

good stuff! love this smartphone! very faster and about the life of battery is normal... any smatphone is the same with life of battery...so go on! love meizu! :)

My brother had bought a meizu mx5 from aliexpress lately but it has a major problem. When he's making a call nobody can hear him at all, but if he turns the speaker on, it's possible. And if we use a sound recorder app there's no problem. As a result, I think that the main (call) microphone is defective but the second noise reduction microphone is OK.
I wanted to update the Flyme OS from 4.5.4.1I to a newer one but couldn't manage. It gives "Firmware corrupted" error. I guess this is a China version phone and the seller installed this "international" Flyme version to it, most probably (It's rooted already, as well).
I will try to install a newer Chinese (A) version of Flyme, but I don't think that this will solve the microphone problem, it's probably hardware related.
After that i will try to find a way to use the 2. microphone as the main microphone for phone calls. I don't know if it's possible or not, but i have a little hope. Maybe swapping the 2 microphones is possible with a script or changing some codes in system, who knows.
This phone is stylish and good enough for a mediocre use, but it's totally a crap with a major microphone problem unfortunately.
I tried to explain the problem in detail, to inform other users also. And please advise if you have some opinions about this problem.

Unfortunatelly, this smartphone is lookig good only on the paper. The worst side of Meizu mx5 is screen - not even similar to Samsung or other branded smartphones. Battery every day is weaker and weaker. Many problems with GPS and apps compatibility. Camera is below average, flashlight literally does't exist, it's just a little bright dot. Acceptable for gaming or simple everyday purposes. Unacceptable for price. Would't reccomend. It's not worth of the money. Most of the functions known from the Korean smartphones are in chinese. Voice browsers, text prediction etc...

No sd slot . i think metal is better than this.. I talk to meizu: use sd card on your all phones...

I have been using this phone for the last three month. software performance is good; however, battery performance is gradually declining and becoming poorer and poorer day after another.

For every one that have a problems with internet you have change the ROM from U version to G or I (international).

i got this mx5 from snapdeal days back when i try to manually update it to flyme 5 it says firmware curropt its a global version... what to do can anyone help me out please

The main wifi problem and fingerprint detection problem while charging is fixed.now Indian version can be easily rooted.
