why has micromax confused its customers by launching another phone by same name and with lower spec.Perhaps this is the reason that it has lagged behind iris x1.

sunny, 13 Jul 2014i hav booked dis device's updated vesion with 8gb rom at sn... moreUnite2 8GB version is also out, I got it as replacement of my 4GB version after having issues with updating google maps, maps don't work if you update it.
Apps memory is only 0.89GB(only 0.6GB free) even in 8GB version, hence it's useless. Kitkat doen't allow to move apps completely to external storage so you can't do anything here. It's the biggest drawback of kitkat and micromax does worst by providing only 0.89GB(0.6GB free) of 8GB.
If you update all built in google apps, they occupy all the apps memory so it's totally useless.
Built in apps like opera, kingsoft, hike etc. can't be updated, total disappointment.
Micromax has removed auto sync option from the device itself, hence you can't turn it off. You have to add system widget on homescreen to do so, very stupid. I figured this out after 15 days. But if you install other launchers, there is no way to do so unless launcher has that option. Absolutely annoying.
USB OTG is not working eventhough it detects the device.
Default homepage is micromax webpage which opens everytime you open browser or even new tabs. There is no way to change default home page in built in browser making it absolutely annoying again.
Probably these issues are the reason why prices have gone down very quickly and 8GB version is rolled out to add a selling point. micromax dumped this phone in the market to compete MOTO-E even before the release of unite1 (A092) without sorting out these issues. Unite1 is actually a competitor to moto-E.
Given micromax's track record on FOTA, there is hardly any hope of resolving these issues through FOTA, hence I've decided to return this phone

This is one of the best mobile. I purchase in jun 2014. It has all the features with 8 GB memory with kitkat version.
