I have been using micromax unite 2 for 8 months, now I updated to android lollypop 5.0.
After 5 days of usage here are some pros and cons of android 5.0 over android kitkat 4.0
pros:
1.performance of phone improved like crisp graphics and fast connectivity.
2.phone now fully supports usb otg.
3.battery performance improved.
4.now i able to download latest stuff through google play.
5.now i can adjust screen brightness more efficiently
6.it has Inbuilt flash light option.
7.new notification and interruption setting.
8.now i can use whole phone memory for apps.
here are some cons:
1.internal storage is now only 4.97GB instead of 5.26Gb.
2.you can't change default storage means it remains phone memory even after selecting default write disk to exsd card.
3.notification cluttering.
4.kingsoft office, opera mini, hike messanger, todo are not preinstalled so you have to download them.
5. app move to external sd card option is not available.
there is not any wifi issue.

hai frnds
today i visited micromax service centre for updating
my unite 2 to lollipop but they said that lollipop has a problem its not working correctly after updating dont blame us
so return back without updating .

any one in mysuru updated their unite 2 to lollipop???? and how ?

Ranjeet, 20 Apr 2015Dear Frd. Did you find any bug ? Can we move install apps ... moreafter update, u cant move app to sd card. Battery backup is also same like before update. One additional feature called battery saver.

I will be honest and suggest that all people having 8gb model get the lollipop upgrade from service center and people having the 4gb versions dont update!!. it is not worth it.after update you only have like 500-600 mb for apps installation and you cannot move apps to external sd card. You cannot download games or apps of more than 600mb as the play store gives the message of insufficient storage even though the sd card has more than 7gb space.and you cannot even download media from browser to your sd card it gives the message " no permission to save files". I myself have downgraded back to kitkat. For 8 gb versions there is no problem

Did you find any bug ? Can we move install apps to sd card and Default apps could be upgraded (earlier not) e.g. hike, office. Whats the performance n battery status after upgrading... pls. share.

Last saturday i have updated my unite2 4gb model from service center. It is free if cost if ur phone is within warrenty. After update i get 1.4gb for apps installation. Out of which almost 600 mb consumed by some default apps. Carry bill copy to service center. Phone data will get deleted after update. So its better to take backup.

I have Micromax A106. The 3G internet worked fine in Bangalore, India with Airtel network. I came to U.S last month Mar 2015. I am using T mobile GSM sim. The issue is that the mobile does not detect 3G network, though the T mobile has 3G/4G data activated (2.5 GB data month plan).
I am able to receive 2G data but not 3G data. I have enabled 3G in my phone. But still the phone is not detecting 3G signal.
The same sim works fine in other USA phones.
Is there any other setting to make 3G work in my mobile.

AnonD-387713, 18 Apr 2015i am in malaysia.i want to upgrade my phone to android loll... moreyou can download the official update from moulnisky and flash it with sp tools. You should not wait for ota .google "unite 2 official lollipop update" to find the update which is around 760mb.
