Purchased this for 6800/- from nehru place New Delhi.
This is a good Android phone in this budget but Micromax could have made it better with adding some more cost.
Cons:
1. Resistive touch screen (could be capacitive)
2. Low battery backup(battery drains 75% in whole day however i use mostly calling and emails and 30 minutes of games)
3. GPS is not very good. Most of the times it gets failed to find location.
Pros:
Rest of the things from above are fine.
Overall: A good entry level low budget android phone.

Sailesh, 13 Dec 2010All you people plz see that this phone has resistive touch ... moreSilash that was a valid information... and moreover no FM radio, dual band would limit this phone with in india... i think samsung I5503 is a better option worth taking with an extra Rs2000/-

the A60 is really good except the battery life...its verrrrry poor. please anyone help me out to increase the battery life..

[deleted post]producing a thing with exxcessive price tag is an easy thing...u can add as much amount of money as possible...
bt producing the same thing with low cost is shows our sheer competence and dextirity....
datz wat v indians r famous for....nano, android n wat nt..
v hav the capacitance while u dnt...

All you people plz see that this phone has resistive touch screen and not capacitive touch. i have recently brought galaxy 3. nice phone. it has capacitive touch. the older corby series has resistive touch. after using the awesome touch screen of galaxy i felt the corby touch screen like some keypad.
I just want to make you people aware of these two technologies so that people who are expecting iphone type touch screens dont get disappointed with resistive touch of this phone

Micromax is only marketing it in India like Nokia and Apple(iphone). Nokia is doing this from years, it is just that we don't know that Nokia phones are made in China by differnt companies. Nokia just maintains the quality standards, which I would say even Micromax is doing, as I have used one of their handset and the quality is good, not better than Nokia, but still good. :)

The phone has 256MB of RAM and 150MB internal memory. RAM information is not available on the website but I found it on their twitter page. If you open twitter and search Micromax A60 RAM you will find it.
