Then Dial *#*#4636#*#* in dialer and Change NETWORK TYPE to WCDMA only.
or
if u have 3G SIM on Slot 2 then Go to
Settings > More (In Wireless & Networks)> Mobile Networks > SElect the 3G SIM > preferred NEtwork Type > 3G.
I hope this Works for U & would reccommend u to Keep 3G SIM on SIM Slot1 as u can change network type to various modes.

i purchased this phone 6 months ago recently i m facing network problem like all time not reachable not connected whenever i'm using my sim in another prhone its working properly.i had already contact with my nearest micromax service center they told me everything thing is ok.i still facing the problem.from long time i was trying to contact with micromax customer care but still not picking up the phone ,then what you people want to prove?you people are only busy no one else?i had purchased with 6400/- i think its totally waste if phone calls are not coming then what is the reason to used phone?facing the problem from last 3 months.

I am micromax canvas a1 android one user. Before 10 days i format my phone at service center. After formatting the problem has solved but from then i am not able to set my favourite ringtone. I am using es file explorer there is no option for setting the ringtones. I have also tried manually to paste tone to ringtones folder.

Try reflashing full stock Rom after charging the phone to the full & taking backup..... Hi i have a A1 and i dropped it.It needs a new glass cover.I live in Zimbabwe and there are not many users,how can i get a replacement screen.

Hiii Guyzzz this post for those who have facing battery
problem on their phone..FOR ALL NON-ROOTED or
ROOTED users
1). first of all download battery calibration
app... forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t
=1024867
2). before celebrating charge your phone at hundred
percent full ..
3).then celebrate it ..
4).after battery calibration use your phone till your
phone's battery reached 90 % .
5).then enable developer options and godown...
6). then select window animation scale and
...transfer
.... and animated scale..... and set the value . 5x to all.
this makes your phone Two fast
7).then reboot it.
8). after reboot go back to Developer option and check
background process limit .
9).set it to at most 4 processes.
10). after this charge your phone again at hundred
percent.
11).after this unplug your phone...... turn on battery
saver ......turn on flight mode...... and reduce brightness
at 0 % for one hour ...
12). Don't do anything with your phone in this 1 hour.
13). after 1 hour use your phone normally and check
the battery usage now you will get almost 3 or 4 days
of talk time.
For non rooted user charge your phone at hundred
percent ...then rest it for 5 minutes.
.
After 5 minutes use your phone till your phone battery
reach 90%
.... Then follow the steps from. .5).th point. Its working
for all. ..
DO IT NOW. IT'S. 102% WORKING..

shubh, 21 Jun 2015my a1 started hanging when i upgraded it third time i facto... moreSwitch off the phone and then go to recovery mode and do WIPE CACHE PARTITION for 5-6 time. It will reduce lagging.... Also make sure to tranfer Apps to Sd card and keep 350-400 MB internal Storage free.....

my a1 started hanging when i upgraded it third time i factory reseted it but the problem grew even more it hangs and then i have to reboot it and during reboot optimising apps take 10-15 mins pls tell me wat to do
