Micromax Android one,the worst mobile used myself till now.There is no basic options like selecting customized ringtone,msg forwarding etc.Please don't buy this mobile at all.

About Android One devices- its a collaboration between the OEMs and Google where hardware manufacturing & its after sales service part is taken care of by OEMs and Software side is seen by Google Inc. So its the responsibility of Google to provide update timely. It has been about 20-22 days since announcement on twitter by google India of rolling out Lollipop update in few weeks, But till date no update are received.
Also google have lowered the Retailer's margin in India(around 10% against industry average of 20- 25%)so as to earn few profit from sales of devices This position by google was not to the liking of Indian Retailer and therefore some of the store had in past refused to sell devices at their shops.
So kindly stop patting Google for giving updates to such low cost devices and stating that android being young OS. After all it was stated by Sundar Pichai (Head of Product Manager at Google Inc for Android) that Lollipop is the most mature version of android till date!

It's true that Google have all android one based on control from software and hardware. But the hardware that Google control only the core ( to make all their software deliver in stable state )and the software control are deliver the low cost upgrade software ( other brand series need to pay more for this license ) . But in case that you complain, the standard that Google give just make as low they can to deliver the smartphone states, so in case to make sensor more low standard. Cause nexus were the one that highly standard 100 percent by Google. Even so android are the youngest of OS so Google still in learn of curve. Might be you should suggest you complaint to the carrier so we hope the best result would come more soon.

Google just had fooled us because of Android one project in india did not make that much of business as expected.... and went on to keep silent on their commitment about the updates for the android one devices in india.
And i was waiting for months together and yesterday did not have that much patience so directly went on to install the custom rom(pure google's) of Lollipop 5.1 :-) ... Now feeling happy better... Thanks for the unofficial release of the official lollipop 5.1

I have faced the same issue, Canvas A1 has some problem with Power button. There are lot of issues in dealing with service centers, they keep your phone for 7 day and do not provide with any stand by handset. If they are not able to rectify the issue, they send the handset to Micormax and it takes 30day for them to return the handset, which is truly unacceptable. In my opinion company should take the stock back from market and provide with a replacement handsets.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2015Rverting the phone vertically after the landscape mode, the... moreya..its happen with me too..but u dont have to switch off ur device to bring it back right in order..u just have to go to setting and rotate ur device to landscape and then swipe down the notification pannel and keeping that notification screen-on just switch ur device to portrait mode..problem will b solved.

Its a bug in all android one devices. It does not disappear just gets hidden (stretches Outside the screen) as notification area remains in landscape mode even after reverting to portrait mode.
Solution:
Rotate "Notifications area" screen from Portrait mode to landscape mode and again from landscape mode to portrait mode without closing "notification area" screen.

Rverting the phone vertically after the landscape mode, the quick-setting/notification key at the top right corner(after sliding down) disappears.I've to reboot the phone everytime.
Is anyone facing the same problem? What's the solution?

Hi Google,
Android one is introduced telling google will give updates for 2 years. Staring from sep 14, still there is no update. Already 4 months gone. Literally, 4 months are not needed for porting? Are peoples paid in Google are working? When customer have to wait for 4 long months for one major update, how much we can expect in 2 years time? Time is more valuable and I think it is a bad idea to buy and waste money in android one phones. If Google can't expand, better it could go and hide in bushes. Don't come on stage and give false promises. Literally I am tired of waiting. Again, gooe given a statement in few weeks. I don't understand the meaning of few week there no such fate in my calendar. Don't gooe know that? Is that how it will tell a blunt statement? No specific date? Are people in google leaders or a 3rd grade workers to tell.some blunt unclear statement like that?
