Micromax Funbook P300 is undoubtedly a good Tab especially for first-time Tab buyers and Non-geeks like me, that too at a very affordable price of Rs.6.5k. I have been using it for the last 2 months and found that the performance is quite satisfactory. My BSNL 3G dongle will not work with it as the Funbook seems to be locked with Tata Photon+. Therefore, I tried both 3G and 2G browsing with the help of Micromax Pocket Wireless Router Speedster MMX400 where you can insert your mobile sim and get internet through wireless. The Speedster costs Rs.2300/ in your pocket. But, it is a small one and you can carry it anywhere around in your pocket. This is the workaround if you do not want the Tata Photon+ postpaid connection (another aspect is only Tata postpaid connection works and not prepaid). The browsing performance is quite good. The newcomers to the Tab arena may find that the Tab experience is different from using a Laptop. As such, except for impressing others by showing off, buying a costly Tab at least initially may not be advisable. If you do not handle a Tab properly it can hang and also eventually get corrupted (I feel).
Last but not least, handle the Tab with patience.

friends this tablet is the wrost thing launched by micromax..there service centre says that it is a demo..haha.. wht a shit.. i have bought this tablet 15 days before and it shows a battery problm and over hitting problem ... when i went to the service center for repairing they said its usb is short circuited and it will change ,,i mean its only a few days old set and it get this problem .THE MAIN PROBLEM OF THIS SET IS "IT does not show low battery and it get automatically switched off and then does start without connecting the charger to it..and the company says this is the same problm with every tablet and they don't have solution for this... there service is also very wrost..PLZ dont buy this..HCL ME is far better than this

Hey guys I got my funbook few days ago.its a good tablet.we cannot insert sim in it but u can call by some apps.we can also call with the help of tata photon.we can insert sim it it and call.most of the people don't like funbook because it is cheap and low cost.but u should buy a smartphone by its features not by its companies name.

You can use 2g gprs plan in funbook through idea netsetter e1732 . And no need to do any setting I'm using rs 98 2gb data plan of idea

i think funbook is a tab worth buying and the only thing to worry is you have to pay a monthly rental for tata photon+ or else buy a data card. If you look at the specifications, we are getting GPU in this tab which is being used in Samsung Galay S2 and even in Galaxy S3 so most of the 3D games run smoothly.
get paid for sending sms and so get your mobile recharged online...

This is just a crap.
Worst Android device i had ever seen.
Laggy, poor resolution, poor accessories, worst charger which got damaged on day one, frequent auto restarts.
Don't waste your valuable money on this piece of shit......
