I am using mobile since 2001, approximately i have used 500 mobiles, in my total experience, i have a bad time when using Q5, very worst mobile. Releases at cheap cost with cheap quality. No well trained technicians in service centers, no proper response from people, i strongly recommend you not to buy this model mobile.

The phone is splendid phone. Micromax is a good brand and my last micromax handset gave me no issue. the warranty service is good. Produst durability is outstanding. What else can u get in the price they qoute for their product

1st tack ball problem
2nd qwerty keypad problem and many more

I bought a Q5 last September. It was going on OK until I started having a problem with the track ball. The track ball didn't respond to down scroll. Instead if I scroll down it would scroll up although the up scroll was working on fine. It had become very difficult for me to search contacts in my phone book & also to use social networks as frequent up & down scrolling is necessary there. On going to a Mobile Repairing Centre they immediately recommanded me to take the same to an Authorised Micromax Servicing Center. I did accordingly as I didn't want my Phone's warranty to get void. The guys at the AMSC scrutinized my cell & had my track ball's mouse pad replaced. It's working fine now. It cost me Rs.450/-. They further advised me to be very careful while scrolling as the problem with my Mobile erupted due to rough & over scrolling. So I would personally say that the Q5 is a very good mobile at it's segment. The only thing one should look for is to be very cautious while using the track ball for the logitivity of it's mouse pad. Apart from this Problem the Q5 is a Way Way Winner at it's Segment!!

never ever buy a micromax q5 phone.
Its having a lot of scrolling problem. the scrolling ball gets jammed and u cant scroll even in a single direction.
even u cant scroll and select a number from ur phonebook to dial.its a totally flop phone

I have just brought this phone on yesterday. Primary observation about this phone. : Good one for basic function users. Headphone sucks. As very little sound to headphone. Slot is big than headphone pin. So connection is in loose condition and even in small hit it cames out all the time. Charger slot is very tight. So if you wont handle it carefully it might damage on some stage and your money will waste. Also if you even slowly touch trackball phone lights get started. Imagine you are traveling in train rush and phone is in your shirt or pants pocket. Just imagine about the situation. If trackball damage no other keys for up down right left as option. Better not to give in hands of small childrain as well as those friends who don't care others property. Fly b406 is good option for those who having small budget to buy a new phone. It comes only Rs.2500/- with all functions (Except java) with free 4gb memory card and mobile tracker service.

after full chargeing battery i got only 8-9 hr standby batery backup, and in review it says 180hr standby time , how it is possible? Does someone also face probllem like me?
