D K Sharma, 08 Sep 2010I am using Q7 for more then 3 months. Following are my obse... moreOk you need to know this. If you have a working GPRS, note down the SIM No. Say its SIM2 where you have the GPRS. Ensure the GPRS internet is on.
Go to Application --> Java Settings ---> Java SIM Profile ---> Choose SIM2
Also, ensure,
Go to Connectivity --> WAP --> Settings --> Select SIM --> Choose SIM2
Also,
Go to Connectivity --> WAP --> Settings --> Profiles --> SIM2 --> Choose WLAN or AIRCEL/AIRTEL WAP SETTINGS
Before using WLAN ensure the phone is connected to a Wireless network.

Siddiqui is correct. Ok Q7 is a phone. Ok Q7 is not 3G, but does that mean its good for messaging? People say no. Why? Simple. The keys in grey model is not readable in bright light. The keys are tiny and spaced so speedy typing is not doable. T9 dictionary not there. Other than that, Q7 is ok.

I am using Q7 for more then 3 months. Following are my observations:
1) Signal reception quality is extremely poor. Signal keep on breaking. impossible to communicate when signal strength is less the 50%
2) Speaker quality is poor (including handfree speaker). Sound clarity is not there and one has to strain your ears to understand what other person speaking.
3) Opera, Facebook, Nimbus nothing works. Nobody knows the settings to make them work. Default factory configuration settings are no good.
4) Trackball is extremely sensitive and not very user friendly. There is a delayed response during navigation, which makes it very slow.
5) Overall operation of phone is not very user friendly. QWERTY keyboard is cramped and very hard. difficult to operate.
6) Camera quality is extremely poor. There is very little depth of field offered by the camera. Most of the time background of the picture look blurry or smudged.
Positive observations:
1) Attractive look.
2) Light
3) FM Works without headphone connection
4) 3.5 mm for headphone jack
I will not advice this phone to anybody. I am looking for a buyer to get rid of this phone

Guys when i am customising my general profile , by clicking the tone setup my Q7 is getting restarted.
In other profiles its working properly, Please let me know to overcome that problem.

You do not get a memory card with this mobile so you need to buy a separate one which will cost you around Rs.1099/-.
I bought this mobile from Sangeetha 2 days back and liked the sound quality. I tried converting one of the AVI format movie file to MP4 format, but the quality was not that good, so should try something else probably. I am still exploring this mobile and have not tested its WIFI connectivity etc. Once I do, will surely update all. But, so far so good. Lets hope that the amount I paid for this cell is worth.

Who told u that it is not possible to browse in Q7 ,, it has opera browse version 9.0 , which is very advance , dont spread rumours,
atleast u have to Check first , this is Indian company , Let it grow,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hi ashok u told exactly right m4a format is superb audio format for music loves. And its occupy space is lessthan 3mb.

Its superb quality for music lovers 512mb u can store minimum 160 songs. Its better superb quality when compare to aac,mp3.

Hi all music lovers do u know abt M4A format its really superb high quality and occupy space is less than 3MB each song in memory card. Hi frnds if u have any douts regard me post the questions. Its really superb audio format for music lovers 512MB memory card u can store minimum 160 songs. Its very usful for saving memory and when compare to other formats like mp3,aac,wav its really superb quality.

well i have seen this today with exchanged motorockr e6,compared to it i think camer quality is ok,and i liked in this is mp4 movies but only expanable is 4 gb compared with q5 8gb.over all i have to experience for a time for testing it's battery.over all rating
3/5 for it design & weight.good sound.
