and im nt able to see youtube videos thru wi-fi; though my connection status showing strong and can use all other apps too
could u advise over this??

I find it real good for the price!
(also comes with a back cover, keeps it from getting scratches)
I`m gonna tell you bout the features ppl rally care about..
>>Internet browsing : Awesome! `m currently using TATA Docomo (Pune) 2G pack (not even 3G) and I can watch YouTube videos as if they are stored on my memory card! Also supports all java browsers like Opera Mini, UC Browser, etc.
>>Wi-Fi : Depends on the strength of the signal. Its as good as 2G if signal is strong.
Camera : Actually, 3MP. Good quality images. Does not have flash. Do not expect magical images at night. Video capturing is also upto the mark.
Java Apps : Supports Java apps like Opera mini, Snaptu, Google Maps, Nimbuzz, eBuddy and MANY games. (Currently I have around 35 apps installed on my fone, including around 20 java games. if anybody wants games specifically WORKING on this fone, let me know.)
Audio Quality : With full volume on speakers, you can fill a 12x18 room with music. Decent performance. Headphones` quality is average. Even volume 1 is toooo loud for night listening :(
Optical track pad : pretty kool, gives you a feeling, your using a pretty high end fone! :D
ezmail : service provided by Micromax to keep you connected to your email inbox ALL THE TIME. (real prompt service)
Screen resolution : Download some HD wall papers and you will FALL IN LOVE with your screen everyday!
Last, but not the least : It has a BLACKLIST facility. You can block 20 numbers from calling you.
(Really helpful if you have an ex who still wants to be in your life.. lol)
All in all, a SUPERB fone!

Although micromax has tried to incorporate many features in Q80 but many of the features are not good.
Data transfer in 3G is slow (eqivalent to EDGE) as compared to samsung and nokia. Opera mini that comes along with it is not able to do multiple download, even browsing is not possible when you are downloading. New Opera mini is not also working fine. Wifi is slow. A good step of micromax to compete with nokia samsung but it has not come above its level "CHINESE".

Q80 is looking good, it has many problem with its software. camera quality is very poor. WiFi connectivity very slow. group messaging feature not good. when we move a 2g network to 3g. it shows some delay to identify network, even it shows network, calls will not be connected at that time. you tube streaming feature include but it doesn't works.
1.sound quality good.
2.headset looks local but it audio quality is excellent.
3.Good Bluetooth transfer rate.
4.Good sensor response.
5.stylish.

4- micromax q80 me max. Kitne kb ya mb ki image support/open ho sakti hai...
5- micromax q80 me games and application download ho sakti hai
kya..Yadi haa to kitne games aur app. Download kar sakte hai..
6- micromax q80 me maximum kitne kb ya mb ke games ya application
install/download kar sakte hai..
7- micromax q80 me menu/software ka minimization ho sakta hai...( like computer )..

dharani, 15 Sep 2011it would be better to set Memory Card boss... :)as this mo... morehey bro but does it provide the option to save messages in memory card or just two option sim card and phone memory under preferred storage, becoz i am using micromax q 50 it has only two options in preferred storage that is sim card and phone memory although it also support memory card and i have 2 gb card in it but can only store 1000 messages in phone memory and in q 80 phones message storage capacity is just 500 sms phone memory that is even less then q50 that is why i want to know from any user that is there any option added to preferred storage to save messages in memory card.
