This phone is launched in First quarter of 2009 and this is my first Mobile. I had purchased on 9 February 2009. At that time there is a tag line " Mobile ka Baap". And this mobile's battery backup is 30 Days. I like it's sounds. Two LOUD sound speaker is amazing. Because of daily listening songs, approx 22 to 25 days after charge mobile.

Should have java midp 2.0 version. Should support higher versions of opera mini and uc browser. Should support direct download through opera and uc browser. + Should have pause resume functionality for the uc browser. So i can do multitask like calling, sms etc without exitting the browser.

Should support gprs and should have edge. Browser should be wap 2.0/xhtml & html. Should have MMS and Email. Internet speed should be good. Download and upload speed should also be good. Should support pause/resume facility during download through wap browser.

Distype size should be 2.2 inches. And resolution should be 240 into 320 pixels. Display type should be tft with 16m colours. Weight should be below 100 grams.

Network should be 2g or 3g or 4g. Messaging and calling should be good. Message storage should be 1000 items. Should have auto call record. Should support auto reject unknown calls. + Battery power should be good. Should have power saving mode settings with battery power remaining status.

The phone should be handy and durable. Battery capacity should be removabe lion 1200 mah. Sar value should be below 1w/kg for both of body and head.

Body form factor should be bar. Keyboard should be simple keypad and should not be qwerty. Should be non-touch. I dont like touchscreen.

This micromax is not purely indian brand or manufactuered in india. This same mobile fone is available in pakistan name Qmobile with totally same specifications.

my message to the people there is that indian peoples mis-guide others.
if you see micromax advertise they say its totally indian fone and also maufactured in india. its totally bullshit. its a chineese company. Anyone can get mobile fones from that company any name.

Hi Good day every one,
I have been using X1i for the past 1yr now. My cousin recommended this phone to me as i was looking for a Dual sim phone for very Basic use (to speak).
Pros:
1) The 1800Mah Battery is fantastic, i get 10 days battery backup (with 3-7 calls a day).
2) Wireless FM is pretty clear and does a good Job.
3) Speakers are very loud, its giving me more than what i expected.
4) Has a 3.5 mm jack, and with a good head phone this phone gives a very good competition to any of the mid range MP3 players.
5) Its Very well built and sturdy, even after several falls there is no mark damage.
6) Single LED torch light is pretty useful.
Cons:
1) I felt the key pad to be very conjusted.
2) Horrible camera (don't know why they have a camera)
3) To access SIM cards the battery has to be removed.
4) SMS- Broadcast message gets activated whenever there is change made at the sim level (this has to be re set again).
Overall i am very happy with this Mobile i couldn't have expected more from a Basic Phone at a price of 1.7K (Rs). The Battery duration is so good that when ever i need to charge this phone i search for my charger. :-)
