Microsoft drops the prices of Lumia 950 and 950 XL in the US, Lumia 640 down in the UK

It's no secret the public interest towards the Lumia 950 and 950 XL flagships is quite miserable. While there is nothing wrong with the phones, on the contrary - those are some great tools featuring iris scanners and Continuum, it's Windows OS that is just not interesting enough for the consumers.

Anyway, Microsoft has been making various discounts on different markets on the flagship duo and now it is USA's turn to get some nice promotions.

Microsoft Store US has slashed $200 off the Lumia 950 XL price down to $449 and it took $150 off the Lumia 950 price tag down to $399. That's not all - both offers include a free Microsoft Display Dock for Windows Continuum (worth $99).

The promo is valid through August 14, which is odd, because those two are definably overdue for a permanent price cut. Maybe those prices will stay after August 14, too.

We were able to find some better offers here and there, but they are either for refurbished Lumia 950/950XL, or don't include a Microsoft Display Dock.

While we're at it, here are more Lumia discounts, this time in the UK. The midrange Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL are getting 20% price cut. The regular Lumia 640 now costs £103.99, while its XL sibling is priced at £127.99. Those discounts seem to be permanent, though.
