yes it can play HD videos...my lumia 820 can do that so this one most surely will get the job done

it can't record HD videos but can it play them? like if i watch HD (720+) from metrotube or an HD movie stored in my Memory card? Hope someone can answer this. Thanks

Its a complete entartainment package in such a low price ... I used lumia 520 and samsung ativ s .. Wp is runing like fluid on both of them ... The only drawback in wp is less no of games and app installation restrictor from other sites ..

you also don't know what are you talking about. WP UI is better. the live the is currently the best feature of WP, unlike android or ios, you need widget to do the same thing.
try any android with similar or lower specs with this phone, you'll eventually come down to LAGdroid.
