I would say this is a great replacement for PC's but not Ipad and Android tablets, only if Microsoft learn that 16:9 aspect ratio is not suitable for portrait mode and make the device much lighter will they replace Ipad/Android tablets.

After playing around with one of these and already owning ipads and Android tablets. I must say that even in the RT form i was highly impressed. The user experience was great, the device works as required. It is a nice size and allows me to really use the device as I want to. If this was out when I was purchasing the Asus transformer, I would have purchased this instead. This is a great and viable alternative to the ipad and android devices.

This tablet is far better than the ipad in terms of design and functionality. I have both now am thinking of selling off my ipad and keep the surface. The ipad looks ugly design wise

I got one from japan. And using US english language pack.. and it works perfectly. Lacking are are some apps. But the internet explorer really does everthing.. including flash.. and it is not mobile web.. im not a gamer so.. no problem for me.. last thing.. i love it...

microsoft tabs are great, but the only problem of this one about running the windows 8 apps not the desktop one , sure its coz the build of cpu , but still when i think about it am found it better than android and ios devices ,not just me

It seems cool but still didn't use but is it worth or should I get the new IPad air I think the trick is it has a low capacity where to find in Dubai

After spending £359 am quite disappointed with the speakers. Even iphone 4 has a better 3D speaker sound than the two speakers on this tablet. Microsoft U have to learn good quality sound output is one of the reasons as to why Samsung and apple products sell fast.

Sijmen, 29 Oct 2013No GPS and no 3G/4G connectivity. Microsoft don't have a clue.I can see your point about GPS even tho.. you more likely have a mobile phone on you, but your point about not having 3g/4g is a little pointless when you can just tether to your mobile and use that.

Ive just bought one from pc world London. I love everything about it. But speakers are of poor quality. I hope Microsoft learns from iPad how to make just one speaker with 3D Sound.
