Microsoft to fix Lumia 535 touch problems on December 27

19 December, 2014

Microsoft Lumia 535 and its dual-SIM sibling have been plagued by touch issues since launch earlier this month. As it turned out lots of early adopters are complaining about improper multi-touch detection and the low touch sensitivity that results in either the phone not detect your finger, or registering it in the wrong place.

Microsoft has acknowledged the issues already and said they were because the Lumia 535 touchscreen sensitivity is too high. We were also promised a firmware update and now we know when it's coming - December 27.

The dual-SIM Lumia 535 for Vietnam will be getting an OTA update on December 27 that will make the touchscreen behave normally. This piece of info comes from an official Microsoft support email, send as an answer to a worried user.

There is no info on the wider availability of this update, but we guess it should hit all Lumia 535 flavors around the world around the same time Vietnam will be getting it - on December 27 or shortly after.
