More OnePlus Nord CE 2 details leak as phone gets certified on TUV

Yordan, 07 February 2022

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is expected to arrive on February 11. It will be the more affordable version of the Nord 2 and the phone just got certified at TUV Rheinland.

The listing reveals the device with model number IV2201 will have a 4,450 mAh battery that will support 65W fast charging (10V/6.5A).

In the meantime, Camera FV5 revealed the very same handset will yield 16MP photos, which is likely the result of pixel-binning from a 64 MP sensor.

The Nord CE 2 (or alternatively Nord 2 CE) is expected to have a triple camera setup on the rear, but we have no information about the other two snappers. The front cam is said have 16MP sensor and f/2.4 aperture.

The OnePlus IV2201 appeared on Geekbench for good measure, revealing an 8GB RAM option. Sadly, the device was tested with Android 11, meaning it will skip on the latest Google OS out of the box; hopefully, an update will arrive shortly after the upcoming launch.

Why would anyone buy this when the Realme 9 Pro and Pro+ are about to be released with similar specs and Android 12, and are presumably cheaper?

I am well and definitely over 15 years old. I'm just tickled by a phone being released with 18 month old software. They'll probably promise one major software update and you'll wind up getting the OS it should have came with. Good s...
