Moto G Pure leak lists 6.5" AMOLED display, 48 MP main camera and aluminum frame

Motorola will reportedly launch a new phone dubbed the Moto G Pure next month. That will be a few weeks from now, today you can enjoy these unofficial 3D renders and specification details, courtesy of OnLeaks and Zouton.

This phone will target the North American market and will cost around $300-$350. Unlike some recent addition to the G-series, this one should have an aluminum frame. The back will most likely be plastic and (as seen in the renders) will be home to the fingerprint reader. The phone will measure 10.1 mm thick, including the camera bump.

Interestingly, the 6.5” display will be an AMOLED. It’s interesting because the rest of the phone is quite basic (especially for the $300 price range), at least based on the information so far.

The Moto G Pure is said to use the Helio G25 chipset, earlier prototypes apparently used a P22 instead. The G25 is a 12 nm chip with eight Cortex-A53 CPU cores and a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, it is meant for $100 phones or so. The base configuration will have 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage, Android 11 will be pre-installed.

Hearing about the 48 MP main camera piqued our interest, but it will be paired only with a 2 MP depth sensor and a 5 MP selfie camera. Nothing to write home about. The same goes for the 4,000 mAh battery with 10W charging.

At least it is over USB-C and there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Even so, either the $300-$350 pricing is way off or Motorola needs some quiet time. We’ll know more in the second week of October when the Moto G Pure should be unveiled.
