Moto X (2017) or Moto C gets pictured in leaked renders and video
For a long time now Motorola has been rumored to be reviving the Moto X line. Once these were its flagship smartphones, but now that job is reserved for the Moto Z. So the next Moto X, if there will ever be one, will sit in the company's portfolio right below the Z. That means the new X should have upper-midrange specs.
At the beginning of this month we brought you a couple of purported leaked hands-on images of the Moto X (2017), and now it's time for a bunch of renders of it that were created based on factory CAD schematics.
Moto X (2017) or Moto C renders
As you can see, the Moto X (2017) has a metal design, a camera hump that looks eerily similar to those in the Moto Z devices, and no support for the Z line's MotoMods accessories. The fingerprint sensor is on the front, while the 3.5mm headset jack is on the bottom side next to the microUSB port. There are no stereo speakers here, nor dual cameras on the back.
The Moto X (2017) will apparently have a 5.2-inch touchscreen and its dimensions are 150 x 73.8 x 8.4 mm (9.5mm where the camera bump is). Although we've been calling it Moto X (2017) so far, the source of these renders reportedly isn't sure that it's going to be branded like that. Furthermore, a different source is claiming that this device will in fact be sold as the Moto C, in Motorola's newfound quest to use up as many letters of the alphabet as possible for its smartphones.
It's unclear when this phone will be announced, but since we haven't seen more leaks about it a CES unveiling is probably out of the question. That means a MWC outing is still possible.

Because Droid Turbo had 3900 mAh and it has been the highest capacity Moto til today. Recent Motos may have better battery life but never that high a capacity.
