how should i install differnt applications on ming as it says cannot find an application to open the file . do i need first to install any other thing first.

I have had this phone for almost 2 weeks now and i must say this is an outright funtabulous phone...not only it has killer looks, it also is coupled with breathtaking features likie real player and a 2 MP camera.It is easy to operate and user friendly. however motorola could have few things in mind such as the quality of speaker phones, which sound less even on the maximum potential,the grooves that are created to open the phone flip are not convenient and do not solve the purpose, so boys can face tad bit dificulty in opening the phone...cheers

i bought this phone couple of weeks back... i am really happy with the phone except for one behaviour... every 30 mins the phone beeps/vibrate..this is really annoying...its a distraction.. has anyone come across this problem...any answers would help me a lot.

Its so beatiful...but its not so good.
To try to open the flip to accept a call is not so easy...The battery is not enough for all day long...

Had this phone for a few months. Love it. The only down side is there isn't many apps for it. Took me 2 wks to figure out how to change everything into English. Takes a while of trial and error. Have MSN in English now, and the snowboarding game that comes with it in English too..

yea, I've downloaded a number of games from sites like www.getjar.com (thanks to the folks who post on this thread). I found several sudoku games and tried them all. I finally went with the one named "5ud0ku" because it supports phones with touchscreen. There are some programs that can be downloaded with no problem but because the Ming does not have a physical keypad, certain games could not be played. I found one sudoku game that needed the "#" to imput a number. Hense, I had to uninstall that program. Thousands of other fun stuff, you just have to experiment. Hope that helps.--Ani

a1200 based on linux. It has Opera 8 browser, which is 'the best internet browser for smartphones&PDA' (c)

Funny, I can dial from contact list in 2 steps. Find the numner, highlight, and hit the call button.
great phone, wish it was EDGE though.

RE:Issue with phone not registering some incoming calls on Rogers!
I figured out what the problem is. If you subscribe to Call Display with Name Display, some calls will not get through to your phone. You have to get rid of the Name Display add-on feature through Rogers but you can keep the Call Display. My phone now accepts all calls. Apparently Name Display is a newer feature so there are still some bugs with it!

Hello, LOOKING FOR HELP!
I just received the A1200 and I'm really happy with it. I'm having this problem with the phone not registering incoming phone calls but it will tell me that I missed a call. Some calls go through and some don't.Its very frustrating.If anyone can help,please let me know or send me an email.THANKS!

Hi there this phone is great i just got one today and everything is fine except that my msn messenging feature is in chinese...cananyone please tell me how to set the language to english? Please Email And how too import music to the phone i would totally appreciate it!! thanks

If you dropped your phone this could be damaged your phone memory which could be reason to not run properly system and some apps. Seach on this forum:

for new version of Linux Firmware for M1200 and flash your phone. If there will be some problems after instaling new Firmware post them here or ask Motorola Support;)
