Try to format the transflash using FAT(FAT16) format. Because L7 dont work with FAT32 format.

i think its a very cool phone, got one about 3 weeks ago everything is ok, except i can't access the internet or download ringtones or anything to do with going online, i'm with cingular and they said because i did not buy the phone from them i might not be able to get any internet on my phone does anyone who owns this phone checks email and stuff on theirs? if u do please help me out tell me what to do? how can i get internet running on my phone?

Could someone tell me if its possible to download an mp3 file to use as a ringtone, and if so, could you tell me how to do it. Thank you in advance.

I have checked the package, everything looks complete and genuine though ! The place i bought it had many vendors, maybe 40+ and seemed very legitimate to me.
Maybe the phone belongs to a bad series;
I know it is warranted 1 year. (provided it is a Moto :> !)
The 128Mb memory has been recognized since I bought the phone, and the extra 1gig memory had been recognized maybe 1 or 2 days (I forgot). And since 1 none of my 3 Transflash
(128,512,1Gig)are recognized.
So i am left with the internal memory of a few megs.
There seem to be a glitch somewhere.
Anybody from Motorola reading this ?

just maybe, and you can double check again where you bought it from.. cuz that can be fake A1200.. because my friend bought one in china too, and it have the same situation as you. so he had call motorola, and found out that phone is not from motorola at all~

Hello,
I bought the Ming in China last April, I live in France. Of course I love this phone ...
But Now I have a problem !
The original Transflash 128 Mb has become unrecognized by the phone. I bought another 512 Mb sanDisk/Transflash and it also is not recoginzed "or mounted" by the Phone.
After checking with a memory card reader I verified both memory card work.
What I can I do ? Is there a recovery sequence ?
Do i need to contact Motorola China ?

I love this phone. It has so many functions that I have played with it for a whole week and still exciting about it.
Thanks to everyone here to provide so many useful advice. T-mobile just won't provide any support.
I have one question. How to setup hotmail in email account? Hotmail seems to be "HTTP" mail. However the A1200 provide either POP3 or IMAP. Does it mean no way to get hotmail in A1200? What a pity.

wenever i hit voicemail it dials 5555 instead of going to my actual voicemail. how can i change the 5555 so it goes to my voicemail?

I purchased an A1200 two days ago. I'm with tmobile and I put in my sim card. It recognized
it but I still can't make or receive any calls.
I called tmobile and they referred me to motorola but they referred me back to tmobile.
Any ideas on what the problem is?

is there any way to change the first two shortcuts on the bottom of the screen, and can you add more options to the side button menu for when the flip is closed? also, does anyone else get a vibrating sound in the earpiece? almost sounds like a screw is loose.
except for some minor flaws/disappointments, i think this is a great phone overall. this is my first pda phone, and i think the business card reader is the best feature i've ever had on any phone. looks great too.

I recently bought the A1200 (MING) and all I can say is that this phone/pda takes the cake! It is by far, the best I've had to date. Previous units Ive owned: Eten M600, Treo 650, iMate JAMin. This phone has great design, great quality and since Motorola has released the source code for free development of applications, in a few months there will be loads of great software to download. Hey, Afterhours, your phone might be used with cingular, you must set-up your T Mobile GPRS for internet and MMS for your email.

hey afterhours, i suspect that your phone is unlocked and imported from china or hong kong...thats the only reason. Check the back of the phone or the covers to see if theres anything to say T-mobile...if there isn't or theres something thats says vodaphone, its unlocked and imported...

just recvd my a1200 today, and am running into a little problem...im on tmobile (with an internet plan naturally) but the phone is displaying cingular as the home network. i suspect this is reason why i am unable to connect to the internet and setup email. any suggestions?
