caesar, 27 Jan 2009I dont know if its first time, a moto has a windows mobile ... moreReally? Moto has no experience with Windows Mobile? How about its Q9h for GSM? And didn't ir release Q9 CDMA about 3~6 months before the CDMA version?
I don't know how you arrived your judgement, though in the most popular forum in HK, many actual users of A3100 already bought the phone and are quite satisfied with it, including myself.
I only need to take several Windows Mobile classes from the shop I bought it from to get myself familiar with Windows Mobile.

f4tron, 29 Jan 2009SURF A3100 is not available officially yet.A3100 HAS BEEN AVAILABLE in Taiwan for 3 weeks, 2 weeks in HK.
I got mine 2 weeks ago. I won't mind to bet you US$400 (how much I paid for mine) by showing you my receipt.

Guys good news, Motorola Taiwan website confirms that A3100 HAS the CrystalTalk Technology. MOTO Rocks! :)

i hv been using A1200 for last 2 years and have not found another mobile that's more userfriendly than it. Only request to Motorola - please have good volume for your speakers

this fone is reconmended by me it is better than nokia 5800 in the following ways;
1 faster
2 better operating system
3 better design
4 charging through USB
THE ONLY DISAVANGE OF THIS FONE(A3100) IS THE LACK OF FLASH IN IT CAMERA.

It's not to say they are not available anymore, just that their individual country branch will stop operation to cut costs due to the global economic crisis - for now. However, these manufacturers (SE, Nokia, Moto) have their usual local distributors & service centres (appointed ones, not their own outlets) so from now on which phone models to be made available in your country will be solely the decision of the local distributors. Don't be surprise to see some phones you like not available in your country in the future. I got to know this when I was asking my local Moto distributor recently as to when ZN5 is coming and that's when I got the info about SE, Nokia & Moto moving out. Product Warranty is not an issue, only phone model selection might present a bit of problem because I'm quite sure the local distributors will try to choose the models they think can sell easily, for sales & profit purposes and not because the phones are well featured. Another thing I really hope will not happen is the service render by the local representatives, let's hope they handle their own brand well in terms of better marketing and PR. If they fail to do a good job, people will condemn the brand instead of them. When the economy crisis ends and good times comes back, we'll definitely see these companies opening up branches again in various countries.

Motorola has always the best sounding built-in speakers. I've tried comparing it with other brands. Even the owners of those other phones are asking what's my unit (A780+)
Now, they came up with a 16Gb, that rules! Only thing I noticed is that there's no "flash" for camera.
Also, i've heard Motorola is pulling out of our country (Philippines)...why???

Why waiting for this unit, while you can buy the extreme and near-high end PDA phone (i.e. the Omnia)? It is such a wasted time following the tradition being a Moto or iPhone fanatics that the units you expect to perform the best are already been in the store. At least this unit will greatly perform, the word-of-the-mouth sometimes is useful in questioning the expert-point-of-view. Be wise and reasonable.
