MOHAMMAD, 10 Sep 2009It´s possible to change the language Motorola A3100
If any... moreI got my Moto Q9 (WM6.0) in Jan 2008, and I was able to switch languages anytime I want.
I got my A3100 (WM6.1) in Jan 2009, and I was never told the language CANNOT be switched anytime.
When I went back to the shop, the salesperson said, "didn't you know WM6.1 would only come into one language? You have to CHOOSE when you buy the phone, due to policy from MS..."
I was never told when I bought the phone, or English version was even available.
Around May / Jun Moto CS in my area started to offer English WM to be installed on A3100 FREE of charge. So I went to "upgrade" my phone back to English WM.
Unfortunately, while I start to navigate the phone functions, I lost the ability to view (most) Chinese websites.
Hope the Android based MB300 won't have such problem.

Anonymous, 08 Sep 2009since it is windows mobile phone, u can use 3rd party apps ... moreI'm not a very technical person...indeed I haven't downloaded much on my A3100, I do know for Windows Mobile (6.1)...
- I must choose only ONE language. For computer and most usage, I prefer English. But for web browsing, I mostly view Chinese. So now my English based A3100 can't read most Chinese websites. (heard about "purchase" of certain software, but still not very stable) Such is not a problem on my WM6.0 Q9...English based and can view Chinese website perfectly.
- need to download a software to use MP3 as alarm...which is a "basic" function for all non-WM Moto phones.
- no software can make the phone to have a radio function
Just for myself, I will not likely purchase anymore WM6.1 mobile handset...one is more than enough. (Hope Moto's next series of Android phones will be better...and make sure these Android phones support BT file transfer!)

Hello, can anyone a3100 phone owners tell me on average how long can the battery last? Because I don't really believe that it lasts for 6hours as stated in the website. Please do give honest feedbacks! Thanksalot (:

Does anyone have a problem of A3100? It does not really last like it is said in specification. In a sales package, does it include CD driver and full vrsion manual?
Without CD driver, how can I get connected to bluetooth Notebook?
So, when it is said " memory is low", I cannot save a taken photo. I have to go "Task manager" and end all running programs. Is it normal for window mobile? Do I have to do this all the time before taking a photo with A3100?

Ooopz, sorry, what I meant in my previous post was a Nokia 6680 and not a N6880.

p.s. Sorry, what I meant below is not a "N6880" but instead a Nokia 6680 (3G). Motorola is best when it comes to build quality!

I've been a Moto fan since the StarTac days...and even before since Motorola is really known for their build-quality (try dropping a N6880 from the second floor of any building, hitting the pavement. You'll find the phone useless afterwards. While a V3X survived and still operates normally after such experience.)
I'd like to buy this A3100, but it's not yet available here in the Philippines.
One spec that draws me to it vs the LG Arena (which is also a good phone looking at the specs of 8Gb internal memory!), is that this Moto has a Qualcomm CPU.
Now, anybody who knows telecommunications knows that Qualcomm is the first (or one of the firsts) and the most successful company who developed what we now call "3G".
Although, 3G went to CDMA 1, CDMA 2000, and WCDMA, still, the company has my respect.
Hello Moto!
