Hi,
In pakistan, this model is not released ... true ?
It is available in only one shop, might be the person imported it.
I like this phone and like to know about two major factors, please let me know:
1- Battery life
2- GUI Responce (does it hangs in any case)
Thankyou.

This phone works great - really good for music if you get some of the moto accessories and some better flash memory than is the standard issue.

I used this for a while and really liked it - very intuative and it can read you SMS's out loud...albeit in a very robotic american voice. Fun to send rude sms's to yourself fora minuite or two.
Not bad overall - down side I would say it's bulky and when you have wifi mode on it drain the battery but show me a wifi phone that doesnt

Hi
This phone is pathetic! Its very slow and crashes all the time. I have already replaced the handset through my contract provider once because all the buttons stopped working. Now 2 weeks later this has happened on the new handset plus it does its own random thing. I now cannot send or read texts, make calls nothing! Sending it back yet again but this time i want a different phone.
Not happy with the product and would never have a motorola phone again. They have always been rubbish though I thought this new supposedly top of the range phone would be better...ITS NOT!

If you remove the back cover and possibly the battery, you should find a 15 digits number (or 6-2-6-1 digits or 6/2/6/1). That's the IMEI.

My wife has had this phone for a couple of weeks now and really pleased with it. It is a similar size to the Sony Ericsson handsets when closed. The outside has a soft black suedette coating which makes it nice to hold. The screen is a good size and very clear. The keypad is responsive and easy to use. At 1.3 megapixel, the quality of the photo's are quite good. It supports a wide range of audio, video and photo formats and the memory can be upgraded to up to 2 Gig using a micro SD card. It comes with a good web browser and allows you to zoom into the page. It supports wireless and works quite well with the BT Homehub in the UK for mobile calls via broadband (it does struggle to pick up the wireless signal from time to time). It also works with UK Openzone public internet wifi hotspots. All in all, I would recommend this phone. As mentioned elsewhere, it doesn't come with any software but easily connects to our XP computer using Bluetooth for simple file transfer. The only down side is that using it in a wireless mode drains the battery quite quickly. However this function can easily be turned on and off as and when required.

Why is it still in coming soon status?
Anyone who has this phone, could you please post the IMEI number of your device here? It would help me a lot in my work. I don't need all the 15 digits, the first 8 is enough. Thanks a lot!

I've had this phone for a few weeks now and thoughtit sucked at first but now I'm used to it I think it's cool the only problem being is that you have to buy the software from a dealer to be able to operate your phone with your PC or laptop. Motorola should give this software free like other mobile phone companies.

Ok, this phone sucks. I've been testing this for a few months now using it via GSM and wifi. If you have wifi switched on, then you'd better forget about a decent abttery life. The phone OS is serously slow. Many times you press a button only to wait a few seconds for the phone to actualyl do anything. Also, sometimes it seems to do nothing, so you press other buttons, then 10 - 15 seconds later it gets it's freak on and tries to do every button press you did in one. Compare this to a phone from a few years ago - eg Nokia 6230. Moto has a much nicer screen and camera, Nokia wins hands down on everythign else. Sure, no wifi - but serously, why do you want wifi on a phone? I don't use a Nokia 6230 just in case you thought I was being biased. This phone looks great, lovely screen, so-so camera, but the useability lets it down to a point where it isn't worth considering as your daily phone.

Can't install skype? I run skype without issue on my Linux desktop and Linux Laptop... I would be very surprised if you couldn't install it, that and open wengo and a slew of other open-source free Voip programs.
My opinion of this phone is that I think I would buy it, as long as it supports a2dp for my moto headset.

I've been waiting years for a WLAN enabled flip-phone. Why has it taken so long?
CONS: Its extreme price. It's running Linux, so you can't install Skype or anyother app to extend it's functionality. My WSP isn't going to carry it.
If you're a Cingular customer like me and are looking for a smartphone minus the WLAN. I'd recommend the Cingular 3125 which you can get for $100.
Why can't they just give us what we(the customers) want intead of releasing what they want and then spending millions trying to convince us that we need it?
