Verizon Droid 3 specs revealed, show a 4-inch Gingerbread world phone
Hey, look at that. It's the Verizon Droid 3 specs -- and lined up next to the Droid 2 and Droid X2 for good measure. Let's just give 'em the full rundown.
The Droid 3 looks like it'll launch with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The screen resolution has already been all but confirmed at qHD resolution (that's 540x960), and it's repeated here as well, with a 4-inch diagonal screen size.
The Droid 3's looking at that dual-core TI OMAP 4430 1GHz processor, and is a world phone as well, meaning you can use it on GSM networks overseas.
It's got dual cameras, of course, with the rear shooter (really, the only one we care about) running 8 megapixels, capable of recording 1080p video. And it's got an LED flash, of course.
Memory's a mixed bag, it appears. The Droid 3 will have 16GB of internal storage, which is mighty generous. But in return for that generosity, someone's skimped on the microSD card, leaving it out completely.
Working our way down the list: Other items of note are the slide-out five-row keyboard, which will be supplemented by Swype. Adobe Flash and DLNA support are there as well, as is the usual VCAST service, and Blockbuster video (downloadable over Wifi only).
So that's it. All in all, nothing we weren't expecting, especially since the Milestone 3 (aka the non-U.S. verison) is already out there. Along with some hardware refinements, not a very big departure from the Droid 2, at least as the overall look and feel go. But why mess with a good thing, right?

My brother-in-law has got 3 iphones (one 3G, and two iphone 4/32 - one was brought in China for local use, not including the iphone 4/16 he brought for my sister). He even got an ipad.
After playing the ipad for a few weeks, I do not see him using it anymore! Regarding his iphone 4's, he's tired of the apps & games. Also that the battery life is terrible. The downloads are slow.
He just brought the Motorola Atrix last week, and told me that this phone is very fast as compared to his iphones, and that he is enjoying the Atrix very much.
I'm thinking of buying this phone, but the look & the material used cannot compare to the iphone 4!?
Well, the Nokia N9 seems very nice & easy to use, and it seems to look great with quality material.
Guess I'll just wait a bit.

Dear atrix users
Now that you all have been using this phone for a while, your input is very valuable for me. Pl help me decide between:
1. Motorola atrix
2. Htc incredible s
3. samsung galaxy s2
I know the budget gape between atrix and galaxy s2 is quite wide at the moment as s2 is new . But i had been waiting for 4 mths for s2 launch, anyway now am in dilemma as should i spend that much or settle for atrix, which offers almost same except screen type. another choice is incredible s which also has most of the stuff but heard that 720 receording is jerky, i really dont understand how but am quite satisfied with incredible. htc has great User interface. pls let me know what ever the problems u are all facing in atrix, and how much is the battery life.

I like having this phone, I have a moto defy which I customized to my specifications running on AOS 2.3 overclock to 1200mghz..imagined what this phone can do for me...GREAT PHONE! i would say.

Love the Froyo OS but the battery is not as good as rated. I would say you get about half the life that it is rated as. Otherwise great phone.

Dude you should upgrade you phone. When I first bought my phone in Hong Kong it had the same problem. It would resart for no reason. Back in Brazil I installed the brazilian retail rom and that problem ceased since then. It also ceased the problem with the biometric reader, wich sometimes would stop working.

I love my Atrix. New update fixed skype. No complaints here. Cant think of a better phone out there atm.
