Motorola testing seven-inch,
Android 2.3-based rugged
tablet
One of Motorola's first tablets
after theXoom broke cover on
Wednesday in a leak of plans
for a pro device. The unnamed
tablet would shrink to seven
inches and focus on rugged use,
with MIL-810G weather sealing
and IP54 waterproofing
hardening it up for the field. An
overview obtained by Engadget
would unusually show it going
to Android 2.3 rather than using
Android 3.0, however.
Some of the reasoning might
come from software plans. The
new device would have custom
apps to login and meet security
requirements. An expansion
module slot would also give it
room for USB peripherals, like an
imager. A stylus would let it
work for taking signatures.
Its design would be relatively
frugal but would be fast with a
dual-core, 1GHz Ti OMAP4
processor undeneath. An eight-
megapixel rear camera and a
1.3-megapixel front camera
would handle duties like barcode
scanning and
videoconferencing. Just 8GB of
storage would be onboard.
The tablet is near beta testing
but is already being touted as
the "first physical embodiment
defining Android for the
enterprise."

Does GSMARENA dislike Motorola? This phone has been touted as a GAME CHANGER in the smartphone industry, and yet this guy gets no PRELIMINARY review even from this GSMARENA site. Several other brands too, but MOTO ESPECIALLY gets snubbed here. MANY other sites are saying that this company and this ATRIX especially, are pioneers in engineering a unit like this in a fashion that works. And is logical in usage.
So I ask WHAT GIVES????

Motorola Droid Bionic
to be in Europe as
Motorola Bionic
Argam | April 11, 2011 | 0 Comments
Motorola filed a trademark on
the “Bionic” in Europe, and now
we can say the company will
launch the Motorola Droid Bionic
as just “Motorola Bionic” with
the same features we have seen
in its U.S. version.
The Bionic is a GSM handset and,
in general, it is very similar to
the Motorola Atrix 4G AT&T. As
its name says, the phone
supports the 4G network. The
other features are almost the
same; both handsets are packed
with Tegra 2 Chipsets and qHD
displays. But the Bionic has got a
biggerscreen — 4.3-inch, and it
also supports LTE. But don’t
think it is a better smartphone
and the ATrix 4G is equipped
with weaker features! I’ll bring
only one example – the Atrix
sports 1GB of RAM while the
Bionic comes with a 512MB of
RAM.
We have seen such deals before,
when Motorola brought its CDMA
Droidsoverseas under other
names. The list is very long: The
original Droid, Droid 2 and Droid
X — all became variants of the
Milestone line. But as the
Motorola Milestone Bionic
doesn’t sound good, we think
this time the company will make
an exception, and the European
users will see this high-end
smartphone simply called
Motorola Bionic.

OKAY!!!!
I am selling my laptop. My Desk Top. And the associated stuff with it. I'm cool with Linux (Super OS( Ubuntu )) on the laptop, and PC-BSD on the Desk. I am going for this little baby! I KNEW someone WOULD see that it makes sense to go ahead and put the right components together. Make them BLEND seamlessly so as to eliminate THREE devices doing the same thing!!!!! COme home in the eveing. Pop the PC into a box with my saved KB / mouse and FAV monitor ( HD of course) and off I go!! Bionic password protection, right? Also remote wiping in case of theft right.
Hmm what is it I just read about a key chain device that via bluetoothe connects to my phone. Tells me when I am +7ft away..
OKAY world I'm ready !!
