Anonymous, 31 Jan 2011great phone but does motorola know that most people aren't ... moreI don't believe that tablets will take over from laptops. I think Moto hit it on the head with this one. The laptop doc is better then paying for a cell service and data for your laptop. or cell phone with tethering.

Motorola HAS! Definately produced THE Phone of Phones Bar None! Whilst some of you choke at my profound statement just listen a moment longer please.
The Phone of the year easy it has no immediate rival.
HOWEVER, and this is where it will all unravel for Motorola, (And if a Motorola Boffin is reading all the guff on this forum take heed)Motorola having been out tech'd and out marketed for years in the mobile arena has at it's disposal a great weapon which if it delivered it to market swiftly and expansively (And by that I mean Worldwide not just little ole US of A!)
stands an enormous change of market demolishment!
But Alas, Having watched with such sadness the one company with the true ability to take the mightiest mobile manufacturers on and bring them to bear in subservience, falter and wither with every attempt, what says to me or anyone out there that this time will be different?
My company is ready NOW to purchase the Greatest phone in the world today, the ATRIX G4, however we will not be able to as they are not on the market yet, and when they are marketed we will still not be able to buy them as we are in Australia and Europe and they will NOT be released there at the same time as the US, the might be released here as per normal about two years later!! Even two months later will make them old hat MR and MRS Motorola, Are You listening?
So it will be our third time purchasing crappy unreliable htc's with the sound quality of a fart under a blanket, or a Samsung Galaxy with lots of goodies but no flash (?) and poor sound quality but hey, they are reasonably reliable.
Or Mayhap, an Atrix from USA shipped overseas with a contract to AT&T or Verizon or whoever which will really do us good over hear won't it guys?
You want some marketing people that would love to make it happen for you we'll do it because we love the product and your aggression to make it a reality. Just give Barbara in Melbourne a call and get her to call Alex in Sydney, she should still have my number on her phone 0414 89. ..1
By the way, Nokias N8 is a useless phone and a useless device, bad reception, also poor sound, pathetic loudspeaker but a great camera?
You see summing it all up, nobody but Motorola Can make a phone today annd before you ll have conniptions at that comment, please consider that the operative word I used was PHONE! There are some great devices out there sure, Galaxy and iphone etc but phones, only Motorola can still make them (stunning audio, brilliant loudspeakers, unbelievable noise cancelling mics and terrific reception (PHONE!)
Having clarified that point they have melded it with a brilliant device! So How do I get some with all the accessories Mr an Mrs Motorola? And when they are released not later please!
Now either close your mouths all or wake up and read the others comments and thanks for hanging in there all.

              We've got no doubt that
              Verizon and Motorola are
              working on bringing
Gingerbread to the Droid X. We
said as much in our predictions
              of which phones will get
              Android 2.3 upgrades. And so
              it's little surprise that we're
              starting to see (reportedly)
official builds leak out. And for
all intents and purposes, it looks
              like how we'd expect
Gingerbread to look on the DX.
              Real question, of course, is
when we might actually see an
update drop. Check out the full
              annoying animated GIF after the
              break, if you dare.

Motorola Milestone X is the DROID X for Bluegrass Cellular

Kentucky based regional carrier Bluegrass Celullar is adding another phone to its Android lineup, the Motorola Milestone X. Similar to the DROID X, the Milestone X quickly becomes the carrier's flagship device with a 4.3 inch screen, 1GHz processor and an 8MP camera that captures video in 720p.

The Motorola Milestone X will come with Andoid 2.1 out of the box, and there is no word on whether or not it will be upgradable to the magic Android 2.2 build that will permit users to install Adobe Flash Player 10.1. The carrier's web site says that the device is "Coming Soon" so there is no information on launch date or

                      Recent pricing leaks from Amazon.com
                      and Costco warehouses suggest that
                      Motorola ’s Tegra 2-powered Atrix 4G
smartphone may be priced at $150 on a
                      two-year service agreement through
                      an initial exclusive arrangement with
                      U.S. carrier AT&T. Without a contract,
Amazon ’s pricing reveals that the
                      device would cost $600.
                      The 4.3-inch slate with dual-core 1 GHz
processor and GPU powered by NVIDIA
                      is among the most powerful
smartphones on the market with a
display resolution that ’s only slightly
                      more narrow than Apple’s iPhone
                      Retina Display to accommodate the
                      16:9 widescreen aspect ratio; Motorola
calls it the qHD display resolution.
                      With the pricing undercutting the
iPhone 4, it seems that AT&T may be
getting more aggressive with the Atrix
4G ’s pricing as it loses U.S. exclusivity of
the iPhone 4 and will have to share
Apple ’s flagship phone with rival carrier
                      Verizon Wireless. Motorola, too, is
aggressive here as it may be getting
overshadowed on the ‘Droid’ front on
Verizon Wireless as the carrier may be
                      diverting resources away from Android
                      towards the iOS platform.
The Atrix 4G will also have an optional
Laptop Dock and Home Dock to increase
the utility of the smartphone, either as
a business and productivity machine or
                      as a consumer home entertainment
system. The phone was announced to
much fanfare at CES earlier this year.

Motorola’s Sanjay Jha has confirmed the
                        company’s launch schedule for the
Motorola Atrix 4G smartphone as well
as the Xoom tablet. The company says
that the Atrix 4G and the 3G edition of
the Xoom tablet will arrive at the end
of February. In the Q&A follow-up,
despite his confidence in the company
achieving its shipping deadline for the
Xoom tablet, Jha says that it could
potentially be delayed until early March.
At CES when we had previewed the
                        Xoom hardware, Motorola had
informed us that it is still awaiting
                        Google to finalize the tablet-optimized
                        Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating
system that will be shipping in the
                        Xoom.
The company says that the 4G LTE
edition of the Xoom tablet along with
                        the Droid Bionic smartphone for
Verizon Wireless will be shipping at the
                        end of the second quarter.
The company also indicated that the
Atrix 4G may be coming to other
                        carriers once the AT&T exclusivity
                        expires.
