First video teaser appears for Motorola Atrix

A quick teaser ad for the Motorola Atrix calls the AT&T bound handset "The world's most powerful smartphone". And why not? The specs certainly live up to the title with a dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM all powered with a 1930mAh battery. The 4 inch qHD display has resolution of 960 X 540. With a front facing VGA camera for video chat and a 5MP shooter on the back with AF and the ability to capture video in HD 1080p, some AT&T customers might be saying, "The i what?"

Named Best in Show for smartphones at the just ended 2011 CES, the Motorola Atrix is an AT&T exclusive and should provide some soothing balm for those AT&T reps who are hurt over the loss of Apple's iPhone exclusivity. No question that the Motorola Atrix is one of the leaders of the new breed of dual-core smartphones that will launch in the next few months

Jay, 13 Jan 2011Can someone please explain to me that what is the laptop do... moreProductivity boost. In essence, it gives you motorolas skinned Linux distro called webtop, access to 8 hours of charge by the (?) cell battery, and web browsing via Full Firefox browser and access to you apps but in full screen mode. As of now it is nearly a novelty. But come maturation of the application and access to (2.3? 3.0) honeycomb, we will see a much bigger boost in productivity apps geared to that platform. It's an interesting concept, if a little gimmicky to start off. We shall see if it's a hit or miss, all depends on the apps developed for it and the price moto sells it for that determines popularity.

Anonymous, 12 Jan 2011Why all Tegra 2 phones have a LCD screen, we want to see so... moreYou rather have an organic led? Do you know how terribly crap that technology is? I'll stick to my IPS LCD screen, I'm sorry if you don't find an IPS panel "good looking" enough.

bummy, 13 Jan 2011whats the point of having such powerful chip on a cellphone... moreCongratulations. I suppose you also think we only need a single core CPU because all you do is MS office. Congrats. I'll stick to my "ugly" high performance machine, and you can adore your little Porsche.

bummy, 13 Jan 2011whats the point of having such powerful chip on a cellphone... moreThis will run future applications too with better CPU, more multitasking with more RAM, I think have not understand it well,

better RAM and better CPU mean more parrel work without closing applications

based on you comment even 256 RAM is also enough to run any Android apllication

So 2GHZ and 1GB RAM means more things!! that the future

bummy, 13 Jan 2011whats the point of having such powerful chip on a cellphone... moreYou're right, man. IMO, the point is simply just so you can have bragging rights, that's all there is. Practicality wise, it's not. You'll be using just a fraction of its power however you won't be spending just a fraction of its price.

whats the point of having such powerful chip on a cellphone..... seriously. So your phone calls sound smoother? or does your text messaging load faster?

The current 1ghz chip is capable of running everything in android market perfectly. And most developers will take advantage of hitting the mass market.

This Atrix phone has some crazy power inside, but looks like iphone 3g, which is so 3 years ago....

I'd much rather hang out with supermodels, than wrestlers.

comparing SE Arc with Atrix is not fair... Atrix with Dual Core Processor and 1 GB , leaves Arc far behind in speed, Functionality and performance.

Arc sure has better design but its 8.9 mm from its narrowest at its ends its about 10.6 mm. but looks better. But Gorilla Glass in Atrix is a highly favorable. where built quality of SE and Motorola is always good.

Camera, Atrix has 5 mega pixels and Arc 8 mpx.... It goes in favor of SE Arc but When you read reviews, Its clear that Mega Pixels don't count, What counts is quality which SE has given mostly and motorola hasn't always but NVidia Processor with graphic accelerator will favor not only the capturing speed but also capturing images without too much compression and graphic details therefore a poor camera on Atrix will not be a nice thought. and we all know the best 5 mega pixel snapper of all the time was Made by Motorola which is ZN5(with only 0.8 million units sold, and not much reviews you might not know it....)

Any ways they are all good phones. Every one has its own taste. If I was a girl I would have gone for Arc, But I am not so Atrix All the way.
