One nice feature of this phone is that if your local carrier (AT&T for many Tracfone users) supports SMS gatewaying, you can email yourself MIDI files and use them as ringtones for only the cost of receiving an SMS message.

In the US this phone is red and sold exclusively by TracFone as a prepaid phone. The WAP is locked to a tiny handful of TracFone approved RSS feeds which charge subscription costs for accessing the feeds' links. While the camera resolution is selectable, the lossy compression is aggressive often resulting in blurry images. Unlike earlier Moto phones, it does not have an auto-on/off clock setting to preserve battery life. According to Moto, data cables do not exist for Tracfones and the internal platform is customized enough to be unrecognizable to most data management software. It is an excellent phone for people needing basic functions, but minimally customizable and a closed platform.

Yeah.. The phone really rocks. It just performs more than its cost. Still having some problems is that the keypad which sometimes irritates me during messaging. Then above all this it is somehow worth of using it when seen with its cost.. Still can do better...

i have this phone c261 for 1 year and i find the product nice for texting for its very soft keypad when pressing it,the other i still discovering how its done or what other good servise it can give..its nice at the firts time.ty

i love the phone coz it can stay on me for hours... the battery can stay long even though i got lots of calls.. very happy that i bought this phone. cheap and very useful...

I have had this phone since May and Last night it went through the washing machine and the dryer in my pant pocket and it just turned ona couple minutes ago with every single picture and contact i had!

Ok, for thos of you that want this phone to play music, you can forget that right now. The only sounds that this phone can play are really bad polyphonics. There is also only 1.1 mb of memory and downloading takes forever with its slow cdma network. This phone isnt even good for texting. I had this for about a year and the buttons got all screwed up. Now the number 1 button has to be pushed several times before it actually registers on the phone. The same problem occurs with #4 #7 and the star button. This phone is also really bad because it is for tracfone in the united states. It is a horrible company and they charge you to browse their own website on the phone. This phone is a complete rip off. The only cool thing about it is its design. It can easily pass for a moto slvr. So overall, do not get this phone because there is no memory or any good multimedia functions.

Ok its easy to add games to this phone, all u need to do its setup an account in Gamejump.com and download games its easy and cheap to it only takes a MMS price

You can transfer picture or ringtone (midi file) to computer using cable data or by sending MMS to your email. It can transfer back to C261 but I still don't know how to add game / application to this phone.

This phone is good. Just wondering to some people who sent their opinion regarding to this phone, they're asking how to download for songs but as i've red the full specification of this phone then, i found out that this phone has no mp3 player that's why i,m not expecting to have a list of songs here......
