If you have C650 or C651 you need:
"MA-8870 USB Cable Device Driver & Modem
from: http://global.mobileaction.com/
first of all install the usb cable device. if u are requsted to reboot and try to reinstall again just reboot and then when it starts to install again just kill the app using task manager. Now the usb cable should be installed. Now run motorola tools and just follow the instructions if u have trouble with data transfer between the phone and the pc just reset, it worked for me.
hope i saved some people $#@%& time i spent on it."

I took some pictures with Motorola C651 and failed to transfer them to my PC using "Motorola Mobile Phonetools v3.11".
First I managed to install the usb modem but when starting the MM phonetools it complains that "no modem installed".Do I need to use another driver, because I think MM phonetools v3.11 package contains driver for Motorola C650 not C651 ?

Ok, this phone is great, but since it doesn't have bluetooth and IR. So the only way I can modify the tones is using cable. I already have a cable.
SO PLEASE can some one tell me the DRIVER so that I can connect my phone to PC. Where can I get it, what is the name of the software?
Any kind person with the answer please email me with the web site at heanteam@yahoo.com. Thank you very much.

@Gwen
Java Midlet Suite is disabled by default if you have the C651 model, I don't know with the C650. You will need a tool, P2kTool perhaps to activate such feature. After you have activated it, you can use Motorola Midway application to download/upload files from your phone to your computer vice versa. The application can be downloaded through motorola website.
The battery problem you got sounds strange, one way of isolating such problem is to test other batteries to see whether its your phone or just the battery that is defective.
Goodluck...

If you want a multimedia station, with video playback/record, mp3, good big screen, long lasting battery, GSM, GPRS, and everything, then buy a PocketPC, for example an IPAQ 6340 :-P ... If you want a phone with some extras, this phone quite OK for its price.

The Motorola C650 has alot of features. The Good: MP3, Video PLAYBACK ONLY, GPRS, MMS and also looks very good and is lightweight and compact. The Bad: I don know if its just mine but the screen which is apparantly 65K is really crappy. It hardly shows any colour unless the contrast is all the way up and still it isnt very good. Good for teens but get them a Nokia instead.

I just bought my Motorola c650, and this phone disappoint me. It has a very low signal, and the batt will only last for a day. The Motorola authorize service center here blames the cause of easily drain battery to my service provider, and suggested that I will change network. my officemate also have one with different network and we both have the same problem. Maybe instead of changing network I think I should change phone instead. Can anyone suggest how to sold my problem before I sell my phone. My email is gcojames@yahoo.com. I dont have any experience like this with my nokia 3120 and ericsson j200i, and even my old nokia 5210, Only in motorola.

Still awaiting a reply to my question posted here on 29 July 2005.
Can someone help please...
Where can I find and download the latest driver and software for the C651? Nokia offers the PC Suite software for free and I don't understand why Motorola does not!
I greatly appreciate your help on this and any tips you can give me will be helpful since I've never used a Motorola mobile before.
