I have a little small tip for this nice phone, if you want to use this phone as a modem, do not install a Mobile Phone Tool software, just install the modem driver (will be detected as Motorolla USB modem)
9x more easy to setup, faster and more reliable than xp. Be carefull on SP2, there no option to choose dialup connection (maybe modem driver installed first before sp2 update, i found this on my PC running SP2).

I still doesn't know what the diferent betwen MP4 and 3gp ? Both file type can be played with this phone but only 3gp file type can work normaly (no sound for MP4) Even in my country the GSM speed only 2-4 KB/s (on Desktop)I successfuly download 2 big file (more than 230 Mb each).

Hello. I am looking for some advice. I have an opportunity to buy samsung x100, samsung x120 or motorola c650. Which one do you prefer and why? x100 has 8mb memory, x120 - 2mb, I think, and c650 - 1,8mb. Motorola has other advantages, such as usb, mp3 and mpeg4. But what can I do with these features, when there is 1,8mb? Samsung has very nice screens and melodies. x120 has irda. I don't need the camera. Most important for me - comfotable sms typing. I am in some kind of turmoil. What can you guys say?

I think this is good phone becouse i spent on it only 40 dolars, but it is with color screen poly tones and other good features. But it only thing is buging me that there isnt a CD with motorola drivers or even USB cable

Dear,Friends
I have problem to install motorola C650 with my XP but then i try and then oalaaaa....
completelly working... but with error message.
Here is my experience.
After you install software from PhoneCell then try to connect your phone to your USB
then open mobile PhoneTools (application from phonecell CD).
after you open then choose a profile.
i use default profile then click OK.
then there is error message "Telephony interface cannot successfully start" it's normal.
click ok perhaps 2 times. then click cancel.
you'll see phone with message phone image not available.
Please click menu on phone then choose setup --> general setup --> change modem
choose next.if you get message "Windows did not find any bla bla bla" ignore it
then cancel. then wait till open new dialog box that asking for COM port. Then choose
checking COM port. in my computer i choose port 8 as Motorola USB modem. then next.
i can transfer sound picture and also mpeg4.

A phone with very good features for what u can buy, although with lots of hardware problems and some software bugs. Bought it 1 month ago and it is currently repairing for the 2nd time, the 1st due to the antena(i guess) and the 2nd due to the microfone(unactive at all).
Although it really looks like a good phone i'm tired with it, when they repair it again i'm asking for my money, they've been repairing it more time than i've been using it.

motorola c650, it is a cell-phone with lot of software problems. immediately after purchase had to give for reparing and even after expiry of a week same is not yet repaired.....
