You will find the battery manager in all new Moto devices like Droid x, Flipout, Droid 2. But now Moto even included it in is android 2.1 update. Mean Cliq or Dext after update will have that application.

Motorola CHARM's battery is not sufficient. Android phones suck batteries too fast and hence this 1170 mAh is not at all sufficient. It should have 1500 mAh battery atleast.

Love the idea. multi touch with qwerty keyboard plus andriod os also in cheap price. Can't wait to get my hands on this phone.

D-Ro, 27 Jul 2010I think it's a good thing for Moto Android phone to launch ... moreyou obviously missed my point completely. look at all the features they've packed into this phone. it has so much potential to be a mid-to-high end phone. instead, it's a low-to-mid end phone at best now. If they really wanted to make a lower end Moto android phone, they should have stripped this phone down even more so it doesn't look like it has such good potential.

why do manufacturers feel the need to develop something like this that has the potential to be awesome, only to stifle certain key features that only relegate it to "that came out when?" status?
3.2MP, fixed focus, 24fps vga video, qvga screen, weak battery...considering everything else they packed into the phone, why skimp on the multimedia options if this is supposed to be a social media phone?
WAKE UP MOTOROLA...getting too cocky from the milestone
MOTOROLA = next Nokia, ie. increasingly fails to impress with each new phone by making stupid development decisions

To even add some more, all dext users or cliq ones will get an update with that new application called (battery manager) in the upcoming update 2.1 for cliq or dext . Check in google search by typing (dext or cliq with android 2.1 with battery manager). In fact this program is not only available in charm and flipout but also in droid x. We will probably have it almost on all upcoming moto phones. Droid 2 will pack it as well. For all moto devices that need an update like backflip, milestone xt720 and so on, we may find it too. I wish milestone will get it on the froyo update.

But I believe... moreMotorola has upgraded its battery usage, MOTO Flip out & Charm are of the few that has a better & improved Battery Management in the Settings Menu, wherein you can manage & allocate the amount of battery used for every profile, activity or application you are using. In fact Moto charm have the battery manager that you find in the droid x, flipout, and coming up droid 2 for sure.

doesnt look charming. but atleast it has capacitive, qwerty, wifi, all packed in a bar form factor. you wont have to worry about flex issues anymore.

I really like the wide candybar form factor with a physical Qwerty keyboard. Its a MUST get for me. I have been really waiting for such a smartphone.

Great phone, love the form, the keyboard and wide display. The phone is small enough too, not to tall and quite thin. I'm not sure about resolution though. I like the 320x480 on my Magic, but it has 3.2" screen. Will 320x240 look good on 2.8" screen?

this is a very pretty device,i love the fact that its candybar shaped and has a touchscreen and physical qwerty keypad.
i would love to get, not sure i trust the motorola brand though. that aside, the phone is really CHARMing.

well its looks proffisonal and when you compare it with Blacberry 9700 which i know very well, the only diffrence in negitve is the batttery power but all other spescfications are better than 9700. Do it your self and judge!!
i hope it will be realesed sooooon..
finslly, motorella changed their statrtgy and is giving the customers some advantges copmared to the market prussuer phones featuers every seound you check.. :)
