Its an awesome phone! unfortunatlely cant change the operating system. and this phone has some rather uneccesary applications like th motor blue account, family life and a few others. internal space is actually 350 mb and not th 1gig advertised under th specifications listed. would give it a 7 out of ten. battery has no program unless u are making th mistake of using a battery with low voltage in which case the charging takes longer and the battery lasts but for a few hours. altenatively, u can use a usb to charge using your computer or video game console. additionally, the sliding keyboard maked this phone easier to use... wish most android devices would have it! also just tired of android so looking to getting back to blackberry. hope this has helped someone! would advice u to buy it!

This phone has not lived up to its reviews, having owned it for three months now. The touch screen is alternately dead, slow to respond and completely unreliable. There are letters on the virtual keyboard that NO ONE can use ("a" and "e" for example). The battery life is horrible at idle and even worse if you run any apps. The 350MB internal memory is way too small and the only way to put things on the $4 external memory card is to be willing to root Android (a dicey procedure that carries a big risk for turning the phone into a paperweight). I have seen this phone operate in "ghost mode" on innumerable occasions: a name I have given to the phone's amazing ability to spontaneously start up apps and open menus. This phone has a date with my rock hammer in its near future.

I had this phone for a total of 2.5 years. It is a really good phone. There are a multitude of roms to use with this, and it is capable of running a rom of 4.0 with some minor issues.
Overall, the keyboard is probably the best with slider phones like this. A massive improvement from the original cliq. The size of the device is exceptional, while the screen is a little on the small side. Regardless, this phone was very good to me until the touch screen became unresponsive.
It is a pity that this is T-Mobile's last Motorola brand phone.

I used this phone since its release up until the end of last month. Very good phone really.
Here us a correction.
The phone is no longer sold at T-Mobile and has since been discontinued. Additionally, it does not have mini-sim, it is the old style sim port.

I've got this phone early this year.
Not quite sure if the advertised spec is entirely correct. Internal Storage is supposed to be 1GB, but on my device it is currently "292MB used, 58MB free" which makes internal storage total to be about 350MB, 650MB short from the ad spec. The phone is very slow. I don't know if this is an issue specific to my phone.

Moved on from samsung wave 2 to the cliq 2... due to the OS cliq 2 is far better. but multimedia capabilities are far better in wave 2. if Android is officially ported to wave 2.. then it rocks... bada os is also very handy but... no support of apps is making it below these.. any way enjoying my cliq 2

Zeake, 03 Jul 2012Does anyone know if someone is working on a root for 2.3.6 ... moreUnfortunately, No. I have 2.3.6 and wish I never did. Motorola put a security lock on the bootloader making it impossible to bypass for gaining root access

You are better off with placing CM7.2 on to this device. You would lose the Motoblur bloat and have more control over the device. Also, you would be using the latest Gingerbread ver2.3.7
