Actually, it IS CDMA. It is available directly from Republic Wireless, a service that utilizes Sprint's CDMA network (besides using WiFi to carry most calls AND data, interesting concept). http://www.republicwireless.com/how-republic-works

should I remind everybody that this is a cheap CDMA phone for a small US market. No one complains that there is an Xperia S, L, X, H or whatever letter for each different carrier/country, or millions of Galaxys, but Motorola releases a CDMA version of the Defy and you complain. Really sad.

So, the only thing changed from Defy+ is the 3.7" display, secondary camera(finally you can do video call), the SMALLER battery, and last but not least the uglier look. In other words, no thanks!!!
