The droid 4 is a non waterproof device treated with a water repellent nano coating.
You can have the same treatment done on other devices if you want, look up liquipel.

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2012Battery is removable. No worries there :)Just curious, have you seen the real thing? Some Youtube video clips have people who actually held the device and said the battery is "not" removable.

              I just want to confirm.

If you use a diff battery, they can no longer guarantee this since the parts would not fit seamless.

This phone looks like the one ive been waiting for 3 years. Look is debateable, but the functionality looks great,
does anyone have any accurate info on the battery yet?
only one review mentions that it is fixed in the device. but does concern me, cannot imagine why this would be, and why have a battery cover if this is the case.
Someone with hands on please elaborate

One of the things not mentioned in this post (and what I've been looking for for years in a full keyboard Android phone) is that it's splashwaterproof.
This phone is a must have for me and I hope there won't be a similar one is released once this one is available or I'll have a dilema.
With the gorilla glass, this thing is a nice semi-rugged phone on paper, in reality, they can also withstand a few rough drops as well so I dare say it's a rugged phone.
Now I just hope the battery life won't dissapoint, if I need more capacity and get a thick battery, it will mess with the waterproofness.
Does anyone have a price indication yet?

Does anyone know if this, like all the previous Droid models has a built in FM receiver, but simply does not include the software to use it? That was apparently the case with all the previous ones, so would anyone please be able to confirm this? Thanks.
