droid4 xt984 ics updated for global mode, works fine with 2g/3.5g gsm/umts in canada on rogers network. best qwerty android phone right now. too bad there is no extra battery accesseries yet

I like Motorola phones and have even used a couple of Motorola phones in the past but the battery backups are too weak comparing to those of Nokia phones which im using right now (X2 and C1). I think the batteries should be improved for a longer backup.

Also probably working USSD and no issues related to network type switching.

Anonymous, 09 May 2012PLS PLS PLS release a milestone for europe!There has been talks about a XT898 international version. Nothing confirmed yet, but if the Verizon Droid 4 XT894 gets it's GSM radio enabled by Verizon, why not just get that one? Don't even have to root and mod it yourself anymore.

It's possible to modify it yourself, or if you get a Verizon set or Verizon ROM, they will be enabling the GSM capabilities shortly. Ref. the links I posted below.
