These are the OUT DATED specs of the phone that will never come out. The Droid Bionic that will come out this summer is improved and those specs are easily found on google so this post of the specs is just a FAIL.

If this phone is essentially the same as the Photon and the Atrix 4G, wouldn't they have virtually the same specs? The Photon on Sprint and teh Atrix on ATT have 1GB of RAM while the Bionic only has 500MB.

                  2 questions:
1-I know that based on feedback, Motorola was going to incorporate some additional benefits to the phone before releasing it. This considered, is there an updated release date?
2-Will this phone work on the Verizon 4G network?

                  Thanks!

more leaked images of the Motorola Droid Bionic Targa

The first images that we saw of the Targa showed that it would be a more sophisticated and elegant version, and would come with a dual-core processor, 4.3" qHD display, and what looked to be a 13MP camera on the rear.

Earlier today a handful of images were leaked, but now the floodgates have opened.

The device is now said to come with a larger 4.5" qHD screen (up from 4.3") and will run on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. There will also be a new version of BLUR with a 3D look to it, but still only 5 home screens.

Leaked images of the Motorola DROID BIONIC show a subtle redesign and more

Meticulously looking at the handset, one can see that it’s sporting a new redesigned chassis that’s modified versus the one we all first spotted back at CES. Additionally, we now see it flaunting a sizable 8-megapixel auto-focus camera that’s coming along with full 1080p video recording. Not stopping there, the leak even shows us the presence of the new version of MOTOBLUR and a new dock connector as well, which allows it to dock with Motorola’s laptop dock.

Obviously, it’s definitely nice seeing the Motorola DROID BIONIC still in the loop after all this time, but we’re eager to know when it’ll actually come to fruition. Then again, maybe we might have to wait a little bit to give Big Red’s other recently launched 4G LTE devices some time to soak in the sun.

New DROID Bionic Running Gingerbread Gets Benchmarked, Dual-core OMAP Replaces Tegra 2?

We had to leave that big fat question mark at the end of the post title because there is something that just looks a little fishy about this new Nenamark benchmark that popped up in the last day or so with the name DROID Bionic attached to it. Before we get into that though, let’s talk about what new goodness we’re seeing above.

First off, the PowerVR SGX 540 GPU stands out. Why, you ask? Well, because this GPU matches up to the new TI OMAP 4430 and 4440 dual-core processors that we’re pretty sure Motorola will be showing some favoritism to in the near future (in the DROID3). This also means that the Tegra 2 by NVIDIA has been given the ax, which shouldn’t come as a huge surprise since most of the rumors surrounding the original delay of this device pointed at the T2 and 4G LTE not playing well together. Maybe this new OMAP was able to show some LTE love?

The second thing we noticed is the “Android 2.3.3.” mention. FINALLY, a phone in testing that’s not running Froyo. The Bionic is slated to come out this summer, so it only makes sense that it would be running Gingerbread, but again, it’s just nice to finally see it.

The third thing is the screen resolution of 960×540. qHD screen, anyone? This could be both a positive and a negative which you can read up on over at this DROIDX2 post.

And now to the confusing part. The Nenamark score of 24.0 flat is extremely odd. If this benchmark actually happened, there would be a high, low and average – not just a single number. It’s almost like the benchmark started, someone cancelled it, and Nenamark decided that was good enough to report. Plus, the DROID3 pumped out a 45.20 on average just a couple of weeks ago, so there is no way the Bionic would put out anything less.

So we’ll take this as the Bionic finally going through testing, but we aren’t going to look at that number and criticize the hell out of it. It’s either just getting prepared for testing and can’t perform or the benchmark was somehow cut off and then reported on. Seeing OMAP is pretty interesting though, and something we’ll be paying close attention to over the next couple of months. No more happy marriage between NVIDIA and Moto? That sure was quick.

I spoke to verizon wireless, Global Phone is not really global per se, you will still get charged per minute and per KB of data, which could cause you a fortune. My point is, what is the benefit of a global phone if it will cost a lot of money to use it when you travel, you're better off renting or buying a prepaid phone at the country you're going to.
