One prblm with this, ussd dont work in gsm/3g mode. Everyting o.k.

i just got motorolaxt610 from a brother of my from america. But he has being using it. When i try to put my sim card to it in Nigeria, is asking for a code. Please help me out with this. From Nigeria

whenever I a hash (#) button the phone runs a USSD code. Whats a solution to stop this for I use this button for my network proveder uses this button for many features. Please help.

I have a problem with mine, i just got mine yesterday and when I tried charging it, it just went off and a blue persistent light is on the top left corner of the screen(not blinking just there) and i don't know what to do with it

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2013(sorry for my bad english) there's anybody had some issue... moreI have had the "luxury" of owning the DROID XT610 for almost a year now. My phone is thankfully on a verizon plan. During this time I have had the joy of getting to work very closely with the tech support team, as I have now had every issue that is listed on this forum and many others listed on others. From what they (Verizon tech support) explianed the DROID XT610 was a rushed competitive phone designed to compete against a formative blackberry that was coming out at that point. The phone was released with improper testing and unsuited software. Which is why the phone has alignment issues, backlight problems (i.e. the bright light normally on the lower right corner of the screen). Capicitive touch screen problems, sim issues, gui problems, and much, much more. Verizons best solution is to wait out any contract and upgrade at the first chance. I'm personaly glad I only have 11 more months and then i can dispose of mine. After that I may go to either a SG3 or a xt890 since they are both quad band and have good reputations.

I have ordered Motorola Droid Pro XT610 just some hours back by Ebay India. I was told I would be receiving it within 25 days from today.
From what little I understand this phone is more tilted towards GSM, the other look alike XPRT 612 is for CDMA. People should not get confused by reading the same specs. of identical phones.
I hope this phone will be money's worth as I am thinking of replacing my Blackberry 8520 which has perhaps the worst, cheap rubberised body for a smart phone.

AnonD-90188, 21 Jan 2013can this phone use be use with gsm ?Yes it can use GSM. You may need to hold the power button for 3-4 seconds, lock the device in flight mode then repower the device on again. Once its running you have to select GSM under the setting menu (settings, wireless & networks, mobile networks, network mode - set to GSM/UMTS) don't forget to set the "allow GSM data" otherwise your Twitter, Facebook and other apps may not work correctly.

prashant, 01 Feb 2013wt is unlock code of this phone0000 or 1111 unless it is locked by the carrier. If its verisimilitude you have to call them and have verizion global unlock it for traveling outside the US
