How has Motorola managed to get such mediocre life from such a huge battery? I mean the specs are lower than the S3 but battery is over 50% bigger, and really the battery life is only a little bit better, and it is a fairly heavy phone so looks like a lot of that extra weight is just battery.
Rom it looks like Motorola is just taking the US car industry method of increasing performance by just sticking in a huge engine instead of tuning up a smaller one, and that's why I doubt I'll ever buy a Motorola Android because they just have no clue how to optimise speed and efficiency.

I bought this phone the same day as my friend bought his galaxy s3. We spent all week challenging each others phones, the maxx HD losing to none. My battery lasted longer on one charge that his did on two, running all the same apps. That made him sad so he traded the s3 for the iPhone and the challenges began again. The RAZR maxx HD only losing to the speed of GPS location of the iPhone, and sometimes, Pandora load speed. That is all. This is a highly underrated phone. Buy it. Buy it now.

i got the phone a few weeks ago it feels great solid hight quality. Im using it outside of the US and it will work with no problem on any GSM network.
the battery wont last that long unless you tightly control the data usage. For some reason the HSPA makes me waste alot of battery life.
i use an app called jango. Its kind of like a radio streaming app. When i use it the battery wont last more than 7 hours (im talking about almost constant use).
For being on stand by with the screen locked recieving any message pushed from whatsapp, twitter and facebook i lose around 8% battery per hour.
If i use data restriction so only the app im using at the moment can access data. It will last over 1 day.
Wifi energy consumtion is absurdly more power efficient. I believe the GSM/HSPA antenna or software werent really well planned
But over all is a really good and fast phone

hd display, latest software version , expend able memory slot, high mega pixle camera, powerful processor but the feature most remarkble is huge battrey life because it is the common problom of all smart phones , in this busy age no one want to charge mobile after few hours. thanks moto, rest will follow soon,,,,
