I picked up an old Droid X2, and well i just love it. It's a rather solid feeling phone, and I honestly wish that Motorola would release something identical in terms of overall feel and appearance but with a new version of android, and while it does say "not up-gradable to 4.1", that only applies to the official Motorola upgrade channels. If you look around on the internet (specifically the XDA forums you can find a modified 4.1.2 by Cyanogenmod designed to run on this particular model. However Android 4.1.2 being as old as it is has very poor application support, and even third party web browsers such as Firefox and Google chrome will not work on such an old version. If you can find a working Droid X2 for cheap in reasonable condition pick it up, it might be worth something to a phone collector, as a daily driver though, not so much unfortunately.
