Prepare to be jealous. The Motorola DROID X is coming to China, along with a software upgrade, bringing its speed from 1GHz to 1.2GHz. The upgrade appears to be software-only, so it's basically like overclocking your device.
If you've already overclocked your DROID X, you know that the Texas Instruments OMAP 3630 processor can handle it. We hope that this "official" overclocking might lead to a similar software upgrade for existing DROID X owners. We suspect, however, that Motorola would rather you buy one of their newer, more expensive devices.
The Chinese version of the DROID X will be billed as the ME811, and will also include a new adaptation of MotoBlur. Beyond those two new features, the ME811 looks identical to the DROID X. Enjoy, China!
