The best phone I've ever had after my Blackberry Passoport. 2.5 years now and no problems at all. Fast, good camera, good battery, specs that are up to date even nowadays.... Great phone!

wow snapdragon 865.. and 3.5mm jack?? still wondering about audio quality through it. especially external mic mode. tired seeing phones nowadays use mediatek and has 3.5mm jack.. sound output is average but sound recording is like a 2009 computer mic.. there might be some phones with 3.5mm jack with qualcomm cpu. but overpriced.

chinex01, 07 Nov 2022any screen issues?There's no inherent screen issues, except being easy to crack due go how it's built. Most cases will have both edges exposed to allow using them, but this means screen can be more easily hit during fall.

But despite having stock Android, overall software is unoptimized, poor and slow as it doesn't utilize this phone's hardware. Overall, app opening times are slower than it should be for 865. Frame rate is rather low in Google Maps.
The camera app hasn't been updated in years, despite the fact that this phone probably has best camera hardware among Motorola phones till this day. There's no 4k 60fps in stock app even though it works on GCam.
Fingerprint is also rather slow and you must tap somewhere on the screen just to visualize the scanner and touch the scanner to unlock it. Forget about just touching the sensor and unlocking when the phone is off.
As for Android 12, things are annoying and worse, it feels slower than A11 and frame rate drops noticeably when accessing recents/task switcher. Also no amoled theme in A12, indicating Motorola is probably using a very early, buggy build of A12 from Google (you can tell because Google added amoled theme, added features and bug fixes to A12 later on but these aren't reflected in Edge plus's ROM). Motorola is known for NOT fixing bugs even after being reported to them. A11 seems a lot better. Oh, you can't change refresh rate anymore from A11 onwards. It was there in A10 but once upgraded to A11 its no longer downgradable.
Overall, great hardware wasted by poor software from Motorola. Unfortunately, there's no custom ROM yet. If you can, remain on A10. In any case, avoid A12 as it's really annoying and slow on this phone.
