A quick look at specs and none of the SOC you mentioned are the same. Similar architecture (a78 + a55 vs a76 + a55) but the 7s Gen 2 has newer and more efficient a78 cores, clocked slightly lower than the singular A76 core on the 855.
While you get 1x a76 @ 2.84 ghz on the 855, you get 3x a76 at 2.4ghz. The 7s gen2 features 4x a78 cores @ 2.42ghz. The other major difference is the GPU (Adreno 640 vs 710). The Adreno 710 offers support for newer features including HDR10 and 144hz display refresh, but the Adreno 640 offers slightly better performance depending on the load (15-50%)
You probably won't find a device being manufactured in 2025 with a snapdragon 855 (outside of an emulation device or a tablet) because the name branding of the SoCs has progressed pretty far since the Snapdragon 855 came out. It went 835, 845, 855, 865, 888, 8 gen 1, 8 gen 2, 8 gen 3.
Putting a 6th generation old GPU on a SOC doesn't make any sense, which is why we have the Adreno 710. Normally I would say the non flagship SoCs are bad for their GPUs. This one seems to do as well as the Adreno 640/650 in real world gaming performance, with software features to help tune the thermal load.
I won't say it's the best GPU tho, you're going to be fully loaded playing Diablo Immortal on low settings with 60fps enabled.

I wanted to add that this front camera also supports 4K 30, just like the Edge 50 Fusion. Just wanted to inform so that the specs sheet can be updated.

Good hardware, but my god is the software terrible. Random warnings about "SIM manager" stopping, even after a factory reset, Android 14 has been a terrible release for me on all devices, and even though the identical Edge 50 Fusion has gotten 15, Edge 2024 is still stuck on Android 14. This is my first and last Moto, I'll be going Sony or OnePlus for my next phone.

You know for a phone that isn't even a year old, it's pathetic that Motorola can't up their update policies. It's near the end of March in 2025 and I'm on a January 2025 for security updates and March 2025 for Google play store. I guess they've just become a company that pumps out useless phones that are obsolete out the gate. On paper this thing is decent. But in reality. I might as well just be a phone from 2010. Useless

My Motorola edge 2024 fell in the tub while I was taking a bath, I scooped it up rather quickly and to my surprise the phone is working perfectly. So indeed it has a level of being waterproof for sure.
