You know for a phone that isn't even a year old, it's pathetic that Motorola can't up their update policies. It's near the end of March in 2025 and I'm on a January 2025 for security updates and March 2025 for Google play store. I guess they've just become a company that pumps out useless phones that are obsolete out the gate. On paper this thing is decent. But in reality. I might as well just be a phone from 2010. Useless

My Motorola edge 2024 fell in the tub while I was taking a bath, I scooped it up rather quickly and to my surprise the phone is working perfectly. So indeed it has a level of being waterproof for sure.

There is a tangible performance chasm and the Edge is a fantastic smart phone. It reminds me of the LG Velvet I gifted to my mom but much faster with more Android features. Could not recommend this phone more. And I bought an unlocked version for $299. Such a fantastic deal!

Simply put, snapdragon 7s gen 2 is just an overclocked 6 gen 1. It has the same cpu architecture with 778g（2xA78 + 6xA55) so the cpu is slightly more powerful than 778g due to the "upgraded" samsung 4nm nodes. On the GPU side it's equipped with a pathetic adreno 710, it is significantly weaker than 778g's adreno 642L. Should be fine on daily usage, but might want to rethink if heavy gaming is concern due to its infamous toaster samsung nod and inferior gpu.

But you can boost the ram up to another 8 gb which are together is 16 GB that is perfect for gaming
