There is a tangible performance chasm and the Edge is a fantastic smart phone. It reminds me of the LG Velvet I gifted to my mom but much faster with more Android features. Could not recommend this phone more. And I bought an unlocked version for $299. Such a fantastic deal!

Simply put, snapdragon 7s gen 2 is just an overclocked 6 gen 1. It has the same cpu architecture with 778g（2xA78 + 6xA55) so the cpu is slightly more powerful than 778g due to the "upgraded" samsung 4nm nodes. On the GPU side it's equipped with a pathetic adreno 710, it is significantly weaker than 778g's adreno 642L. Should be fine on daily usage, but might want to rethink if heavy gaming is concern due to its infamous toaster samsung nod and inferior gpu.

But you can boost the ram up to another 8 gb which are together is 16 GB that is perfect for gaming

It's trash I have no apps downloaded on the phone I have every notification turned off except for text messages and phone calls and every minute it goes off and doesn't even show me what the notification if for it is the most annoying phone I have ever owned

This phone hardly gets any frame lag, just only multitasking while ulling down the noti bar that's nothing to hap about lol

Your comment is idiotic. And later so many phones have lesser processors weaker processors as you like to put it. Heck a Motorola GPlay has a crappy processor this is not a crappy processor and it is not a predecessor of the other Snapdragon processors that you mentioned. Completely idiotic comment.

While both have 4x Cortex-A78 and 4x Cortex-A55 cores, they're clocked higher on the 7s and are on a 4nm process node. The 7s also has an Adreno 710 vs the 778G's 642L, which (ironically and according to NotebookCheck) is less performant.
So while they are similar, it's far from the same SoC.
