Motorola Edge 40 price leaks
A couple of days ago a detailed leak gave us a peak at what Motorola has cooking for the Edge 40 series. The Pro model will be a global variant of China’s X40, the vanilla Motorola Edge 40 will be a brand new model.
The vanilla phone is expected to feature a new Dimensity 8020 chipset, making it a mid-ranger (compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 based Edge 40 Pro). It will come equipped with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
The Moto Edge 40 will have a curved AMOLED display, a slightly smaller 6.55” panel compared to the Pro (6.67”). It will have a high refresh rate of 144Hz and will be an 8-bit panel (vs. 165Hz, 10-bit on the Pro).
The camera setup is expected to feature a 50MP main module (with OIS), plus a 13MP ultra wide camera (vs. 50+50+12MP on the Pro, which includes a 2x zoom lens). The front-facing camera will have a lower resolution sensor at 32MP.
Finally, the battery will be medium-sized at 4,400mAh and will support both wired (68W) and wireless (15W) charging (for comparison, the Pro will have a 4,600mAh battery with 125/15W charging). Renders published by TheTechOutlook and OnLeaks show two of the four launch colors: Eclipse Black, Nebula Green, Lunar Blue and Viva Magenta.
These two have a vegan leather back, the other two colorways should be a matte acrylic. The frame will be made out of aluminum, the type of glass on the front is unknown at the moment. Both Edge 40 models will have IP68 dust and water resistance.
Motorola Edge 40 in Eclipse Black and Nebula Green
According to unconfirmed info, the base 8/128GB Moto Edge 40 will cost €600 ($650/₹53,500). The flagship Edge 40 Pro will cost €900 ($980/₹80,500) (according to SnoopyTech). For comparison, the Edge 30 and Edge 30 Pro were €450 and €800 at launch.

They should've used 7gen2. And why a 8bit display on respectable midranger? They used 10 bit display on edge 30 and even some of their budget phones. This better comes with a clean software experience and not with crap seen on their latest budge...

I don't think it'll cost that much in India atleast maybe around 35k INR or 450 USD and i think they should've used Snapdragon 7 G 2
